Happy Father’s Day!

Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers out there! I hope you guys have a great day.

We’re spending the day at my parents’ house in between church services. Sadie is currently skipping her daily nap and having the time of her life in the baby pool my parents got for her to play in.

I was reflecting on the father figures in my life and thought it would be fun to share three things I love about my Heavenly Father, dad, father-in-law, and Jimmy. I also made Jimmy a video of pictures and clips of him and Sadie and I can’t watch it without tearing up, lol.

Okay, onto those amazing fathers!

God
1. He cares. Always. Every detail of our lives is important to Him.
2. He is patient.
3. He created our world. I admire His creativity so much.

Jimmy
1. He is incredibly patient.
2. He’s gentle, always.
3. He works very hard at everything he does.

My Dad
1. He is easily the most generous person I know.
2. He loves and serves God with all his heart.
3. He gives the most amazing bear hugs.

My Father-in-Law
1. He is dedicated to serving the Lord.
2. He has been through some tough times but has remained faithful through it all.
3. He is silly, silly, silly!

Well, I’m going to get going and keep celebrating the amazing men God has placed in my life. As I was typing up this post in my parents’ kitchen, Jimmy and my dad were sitting at the island I was working on and I noticed Jimmy doing something out of the corner of my eye.

He wanted me to have an audience while I blogged, LOL.

Tell me about the fathers in your life!

Strange Fridge Occurrence, A Day Out, and A Night Off

I opened the refrigerator to make breakfast yesterday and found Malcolm’s dry food in the fridge. Jimmy must have been really tired when he fed him before he left for work!

Jimmy is known to leave things in strange places early in the morning. He once poured iced tea into a water bottle and set the pitcher on top of the fridge instead of back inside it.

We had a busy day yesterday! Sadie, Niva, and I drove out to a local park to meet up with other moms at our church for Youth Summer Days. We had such a great time talking, playing, and relaxing with everyone!

Sadie is related to most of the kids her age out our church so she got to hang out with a few of her cousins! She and Caroline, my sister’s daughter, even got to ride in a double stroller together.

After we left the park, we drove home, took a quick shower, and I dropped her off at Jimmy’s work so his dad could take her home with him (they work together!) and my in-laws watched Sadie for the evening.

So, so thankful for a night off and that she got some quality time with her grandparents! She got quite the royal treatment, too. They went shopping at Rural King and got to see the little chicks, went out to eat, and even stopped to smell some roses 🙂

Jimmy and I had quite the wild night to ourselves. I had to do some real estate work and I brushed out a bit of Niva’s undercoat. Party animals over here 😉

I finished up my work just in time for us to go to Hobby Lobby before they closed. I was on a mission to get another stepping stone kit so we could make a mold of Sadie’s foot print like we did last year.

It was a full, fun, and awesome day!

Have you ever left things in strange place when you’re tired?

What do you do when you have a night or day off?
