Happy March! Spring begins this month in the U.S. and I’m excited. I’m dreaming of more hours of daylight and lots of time spent outside.
Here’s what’s current in my life this month. Please share what’s current for you in this new month!
Current books Risen Motherhood and the Risen Motherhood Guided Journal. Sadie and I just finished Super Spinach (Adventures in Fosterland). We’ve read all the books in the series and now she’s anxiously awaiting the next one that comes out in April! We just started Princess in Black and the Mermaid Princess.
Current food Peanut butter and jelly on sourdough. Simple and delicious.
Current drink Coffee, as usual. We’re going through a bag of Starbucks Pike Place coffee beans right now.
Current goal Teaching Niva a few tricks to do when she goes on therapy visits. We’re working on “paw” and “spin” right now.
Current baked good I made cookies and chopped up Ghirardelli peppermint bark squares to add into them and they’re delish!
Current need New plates! I bought a dinner set in 2021 and we only have one dinner plate left. How do we break everything 🫣 I just bought these and am awaiting their arrival. I love a simple black plate!
Current beauty product I’ve been trying to make a little more effort with taming my hair lately. Sometimes I curl or straighten it and I like to use this iron guard spray to protect it from the heat tools I use.
Current fun Working on Etsy orders. Making chocolate covered Oreos has been extra fun lately!
Current laugh If you’re squeamish don’t read the following. One morning recently, our cat Malcolm ate breakfast and then puked it all up. Our dog Niva then ran and ate the puke before I could clean it. Then Niva puked up Malcolms’s puke. AND THEN SHE ATE IT AGAIN. I can’t make this stuff up 😂
Current craving A date with Jimmy. It’s always so nice to spend time together and just breathe.
Current joy Spending time outside with the kids.
Current excitement Honestly, being back on Etsy has been so exciting lately! Each and every order brings a smile to my face 😊
Current pet product These super affordable dog treats. I’m back in the training zone with Niva and we go through a lot of treats each day. I feel good about the ingredients in these and they’re very inexpensive!
Current kid product Mordecai just got this Lego set and both he and Sadie enjoy it.
Current cuteness Mordecai walking! He gets so excited when he takes a few steps. Then he laughs. It’s the best.
Currently looking forward to Weekly Bible studies in our home this spring! Each year, we host Friday night Bible studies in April and May and it’s such a great time of fellowship. If you’re local to Pittsburgh and are interested, send me a message!

Laughing and grimacing about the puke story. Animals are so gross sometimes. But we love them anyway!
Yay for spring and longer days! 🌞 The bulbs I planted in the winter are starting to flower, and I’m just waiting for some dry weather so the garden is less waterlogged and I can get outside and tidy it up.
New for me this month is re-starting my blog. I’ve been thinking about it for a while and decided to go for it. I’m excited to get back into a routine of posting regularly!

I’m so glad both Sadie and Decky are able to play with that cute lego set!
Decky walking is the cutest!! He is so proud of himself – I told dad he’s a “closet walker” because he randomly come walking toward me out of the blue… with no coaxing – its so sweet! He’s def cruising like crazy now!!

I’m dying laughing at Malcom and Niva’s puke conundrum 🤣🤣 I wouldn’t know if I should laugh or cry if I witnessed that situation go down! Hahahaha
I was literally like WHAT IS GOING ON RIGHT NOW hahaha. At least I didn’t have to do any clean up of puke 😂
