Resurrection Rolls and Cat Hugs

Have you ever heard of Resurrection rolls? I hadn’t until this year, but they’re such a fun way to teach kids about the reason we celebrate Easter. They’re meant to symbolize the burial and resurrection of Christ.

They’re made by dipping a marshmallow in melted butter. It’s then rolled in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar and wrapped up in a crescent roll. When it bakes, the marshmallow disappears (melts). The marshmallow represents Jesus’ body and the crescent dough represents the tomb he was buried in. (more…)

My Prediction, Lesson Learned, and Notes from This Week

Pittsburgh has been having such mild February weather. Like sunshine… 50-60 degrees… I am here for it. So are the kids!!

It makes such a difference when we can get outside and play versus being cooped up. Sadie and I even spent some time painting outside during Mordecai’s nap. Without jackets on! This is unheard of in February in Pittsburgh 😂 (more…)
