As always, here’s what’s current in my life this month.
Current books Babies are Not Pizzas, Introvert by Design, and Sadie and I are reading Dragons and Marshmallows together.
Current drink I’ve been making iced lattes with our Nespresso machine every afternoon. I just use an espresso pod and add oat milk and flavored syrup. It’s *almost* as good as Starbucks!
Current baked good Fourth of July cookies and cupcakes for my business!
Current obsession Working on lesson plans for the homeschool co-op we’re part of in the fall. I’m teaching spotlights on different holidays and topics and I’m deep in research and testing mode and loving it. Our librarians are probably wondering why I’m checking out 10 books on Presidents’ Day when it’s July, but here we are 😂
Current food Super into bok choy lately! I sauté it in toasted sesame oil with garlic, ginger, liquid aminos, and top it with sesame seeds.
Current fun Crafting with Sadie. She’s loving Super Mario lately, so we visited the craft store and picked out Mario fabric and glued it onto a headband.
Current craving Food-wise, I could go for some salmon. Life-wise, I’d love to have some big chunks of time to work on computer projects. It’s tough with kids!
Current pet product Still use this every single day.
Current cuteness Mordecai and Titus wearing matching clothes! We hung out with my sister’s family last weekend and had a blast playing, catching up, lighting fireworks, and matching our babies. Also, I can’t believe Titus will be a year old next month!
Current kid product Mordecai is playing with hide and squeak eggs as I type up this post! They were one of Sadie’s favorite toys as a baby, too.
Current goal Figuring out which curriculum(s) I’m going to use for Sadie in the fall. She will be five in September, so we are tentatively going to start kindergarten. It feels… exciting, scary, and like a big responsibility!
Current laugh The nickname onesie I got for Mordecai. Yes, we call our son Deck sometimes.
Current joy Having hobbies and ideas and things I want to learn about. My brain is just constantly full of things I want to do and try!
Current blessing Working through a Bible study on the book of Haggai with Jimmy each morning.
Current excitement My sister-in-law is due with her and my brother’s third daughter this month. Very excited to meet her!
Current beauty product Absolutely loving this perfume.
