Hey hey! Just wanted to share some things making me smile lately. Some a big and some are small. They’re all awesome π
Zoo Day. My dad’s company held a zoo day today and it was so much fun. It was basically a bunch of kids and coworkers running around the Pittsburgh Zoo to see all the animals, eating a delicious catered lunch, and enjoying summertime. Perfect day!
I hadn’t been to the Pittsburgh Zoo since the Asian Lantern FestivalΒ in October last year, and it was all set up again. Jimmy and I agreed that we want to take Sader Tot this year π¬
Another pregnancy in the family. That’s right, my sister is having a baby this month, I’ll be having one in November, and my sister-in-law is having one in the spring! My parents are over the moon excited to have eight grandkids soon! I’m pumped for all these nieces and nephews. Family life is seriously the best π₯°
Etsy. My shop has been in a little busy spell lately! Not good for my laundry, but fun for me! I have a printed map that I fill in with each state I ship an order to and I’m getting close to filling in all 50 states! If someone from Hawaii orders, though, I may ship myself with their food π
I am still undecided on what to do with my shop once baby arrives. While I love what I do, I don’t know if it will be feasible with two kids. I may need to cut back or just stop for a time. It’s definitely something I’m praying for wisdom about!
A new toy for Niva. I rarely buy Niva new toys because she *shreds* them within minutes (it always makes me think of this viral video, LOL). She wants to get the squeaker out and won’t stop until she does! I decided to spoil her with a new toy this week and she was just adorable with it. She couldn’t believe it was hers (she usually gets told no if she picks up Sadie’s stuffed animals) and carried it around the house for about an hour before completely destroying it. It was cute while it lasted!
Crafting with Sadie. I think doing crafts together is mine and Sadie’s thing. We just both love it! It doesn’t matter if it’s coloring, perler beads, painting, or playing with glitter glue. It’s just the best. She got up at 7:00 this morning and you better believe the first thing we did together was color wooden cat masks π
Prepping bedrooms.Β Sadie’s new bed came in the mail, her mattress is arriving tomorrow, and we’re setting up her bedroom on Saturday while my mother-in-law watches her so it’s a surprise! Baby boy is getting her crib and changing table and we’re headed to Ikea tonight to pick out a wardrobe for our bedroom. It’s great to feel like things are coming together before baby arrives in the fall!
My Sister. Hannah and Baby Titus are doing well! She has an induction scheduled (at 37 weeks) for later this month, but may have to deliver earlier due to umbilical cord abnormalities and growth restriction. She has an ultrasound tomorrow, so we shall see. I think she’s the most chill person about knowing that she could have to deliver at any time. She was walking around the zoo today like it was no big deal. I think I’d be running around like a wacko π
Thinking about fall. I’m in no way, shape, or form ready for summer to end. I’m also excited for fall, though. Like I remembered that chili exists the other day and I got so excited. Oh, and butternut squash soup? Sign me up! Decorating the house for fall (does every store where you live have fall decor out already?!), and the fact that we’ll be welcoming a new family member in November has me excited for the upcoming season.
All of my grandchildren (in and out of the womb) being together at the zoo for an amazing outing. Having a close family is the best!
Amen!! It truly is β€
