It’s Valentine’s Day week! I’m still not 100% sure what we’re doing to celebrate, but I have a few ideas 🙂
-Make themed treats, cards, and crafts to give to family and friends
–Family gift exchange: set a price limit ($10 or less) and draw a name out of a hat and buy a small gift for that person
-Cook a special meal, order takeout, or go out to eat (We did this in 2017 and 2018!)
-Watch a fun movie
Recipe ideas:
–Bacon-Wrapped Stuffed Jalapeno Poppers
–Crepes
–Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo
–Raspberry Trifle (<– such a pretty dessert!)
–Triple Chocolate Nutella Cookies
–Honey Cinnamon Dog Treats for your pup!
The past few days have been full and fun. We went rollerblading on Saturday evening and had a great time with family and friends. Watching Sadie slip and slide around on tiny toddler-sized skates was pretty much the best.
We did school yesterday and learned that a narwhal’s tusk is actually a tooth. I’m still embarrassed to admit I didn’t know narwhals were real until 2011. I’m glad Sadie knows a lot sooner than me 😉
I also introduced Sadie to one of my favorite pastimes, watercoloring!
I don’t know why we haven’t watercolored sooner because it’s a lot less messy than using regular paint!
Other stuff from life lately:
-Still waiting to hear back on all of Sadie’s testing. We got a call yesterday and know for sure she’s anemic. This blows my mind because we had so many iron infusions together and a few while I was nursing her.
-My real estate work has been keeping me busy lately and I’m enjoying it.
-My sister hosted a Mary Kay party on Zoom last night and it was a fun way to spend a Monday evening.
-Pittsburgh got quite a bit of snow overnight! I’m currently diffusing this and this while I look out the window and sip coffee. Cozy!
My life has gone back to what it was at the start of the pandemic but before I created my blog: Netflix and exercise 😅
Haha love it!!
Your Valentine’s Day ideas sound so cute and fun! We will be in OBX~ working on random projects. Sadie looks adorable painting with watercolors, and I’m glad you expose her to so much fun crafty stuff.
I feel like life has just been too busy lately. I just can’t keep up with work or my cleaning duties 😩 I will be praying for our precious Sadie girls test results, and that her pediatrician can point you guys in the right direction to helping her feel better!
Love you,
We miss you guys while you in the Outer Banks!! And I just love doing crafts with Sadie! It’s so much fun 🙂
Thank you for praying for Sadie girl! ❤ I love you!
Watercoloring is a great idea for a toddler activity. Thanks for the tip especially as the weather gets nastier. Happy V-Day!
You are so welcome!! Anything to keep ‘em busy 😉 Happy V-Day to you!
Roller skating! I couldn’t tell you the last time I went roller skating. How fun! Also, love that you two are water coloring together! We just started that recently and it has been a lot of fun. 🙂
I’m so sorry to hear about the anemia! I’m still catching up on your posts so I’m not sure if you’ve updated on this again yet or not, but if you haven’t – how is going? What recommendations do they have for her?
Ah, roller skating is so much fun! I bet your sweetie pie would love it! Glad to hear you guys are enjoying water coloring, too!
