Hey hey! I feel like it has been a while since I last blogged. Life has been busy with lots of appointments, preparations, and even a sleepover recently.
The month of August has flown by, and I’m sad summer will be coming to a close soon! With that said, fall is such a wonderful season, so I’m not too sad.
I just wanted to pop in today and share what’s been happening in my life lately! First and foremost, thank you to everyone who commented on my last post about the third trimester of pregnancy. It was so encouraging to read all the sweet comments. I just love blogging.
Since my last post, I’ve had two more iron infusions. Only one left now! Jimmy and I are praying my body soaks up the iron and gets my hemoglobin levels up in time for delivery so baby girl and I can be healthy!
I’ve been doing some baking lately! I’m still working on making the perfect malted milk chocolate chip cookies and I also baked a batch of salted caramel brownies using this recipe.
I recently brought home a can of pumpkin the other day, so I’m thinking a loaf of pumpkin bread needs to grace the Zottola kitchen soon 🙂
I slept over my parents’ house this past week, which was so much fun! Jimmy has been swamped at work and needed to work late a few days, so Mavis and I hung out with my parents (Jimmy takes Lola to work with him every day, lol) since my work doesn’t require me to be in any specific location.
It had been a few months since I last spent a night or two with my parents and it was just as relaxing as last time! Coffee was enjoyed, dogs were snuggled and walked, my mom and I baked together, nights were spent staying up late and talking, and I was generally spoiled by my mom and dad. It was great and just what I needed!
Now it’s Labor Day weekend and Jimmy and I are looking forward to spending time together! We are hoping to put the finishing touches on baby girl’s nursery, so I’ll definitely blog about that soon 🙂
Thank you for sharing Allie we had so much fun with you staying with ya!
Live You!
🙂
❤️
Thanks for having me over, dad! That was the best! I love you so much! ❤
A sleepover with your family sounds like fun, the closeness of your relationships amazes me 🙂
This weekend I have Sunday off so I plan to rest, relax and get some work done prepping my van for sale. Or…I might read for 4 hours like I did last Sunday haha
Aww, thank you Ellie! Sleepovers are the best! I hope your Sunday was awesome!!
Summer used to be my favorite month, but over the years I’ve slowly converted to becoming a Fall lover! The weather is so much better (not too cold, not too hot) and everything about September-November just seems more relaxing and homey! Also that sleepover sounded like so much fun—it’s always fun to get pampered by family 🙂
Fall really is such a gorgeous, cozy, happy season!! Now I’m getting so excited for it! The sleepover was so nice, and I felt super pampered!! The best 🙂
Hope all goes well with the iron fusions. ♡ All of the treats that you’re baking sound so wonderful. Looking forward to seeing the nursery set up!
Thank you so much, Hunida! The baking has been so fun 🙂 I can’t wait to share pictures of the nursery soon!
I’m so glad that the iron infusions are going well. You are taking such good care of this little girl already!
I love how close you are to your parents. Sleepovers as an adult sound like so much fun!
And girl, nursery. YES! I want to see it!
Aww, thank you so much, Rach! Adult sleepovers are totally fun! I highly recommend them 🙂
Those salted caramel brownies sound absolutely delightful! I may just have to make them soon. I’m definitely catching the baking bug now that it’s getting closer to fall. ❤ Ooh yes I'd love to see how you guys set up the nursery!
I hope you get a chance to make the brownies! If you like caramel a lot, I think you will really love these! YAY for fall baking 🙂
