It’s time for another coffee date post, this time on a Saturday! I’m sharing anything I would talk about as if we were sitting together for a cup of coffee π
–> If we were having coffee right now… I’d say that not having a car for a day did wonders for my productivity levels. Our car was being inspected earlier this week and since we were homebound I found myself scrubbing our basement stairs π
–> If we were having coffee right now… I’d tell you that the testing for Sadie I mentioned in my last post went better than I expected. She had to have blood drawn and I was sure it was going to be a complete disaster. She surprised me by just watching the phlebotomist put the needle in her arm and draw three tubes of blood like it was no big deal. She didn’t even cry!
She shed a few tears afterwards because I think she was confused at what happened and her arm was sore, but ultimately it ended up going much more smoothly than I expected.
–> If we were having coffee right now… I would tell you that being completely off of social media has been great so far. I expected that I would miss it at least a little bit, but nope. I’ve found that I have a much deeper connection with the people in my life. Checking in and talking with friends and family versus simply liking a post feels really good.
–> If we were having coffee right now… I’d mention that my little journey of learning about essential oils and trying to find more natural products for around the house has been great.
I’ve mostly been using this brand of oils. Grapefruit is my favorite to diffuse and peppermint is my go-to for aches and pains. I definitely feel like using essential oils is something that you build up knowledge and confidence with over time, and I’m loving learning and experimenting as I go.
–> If we were having coffee right now… I would tell you that I have so. many. ideas. (mostly book ideas) and just don’t know if I should venture into anything during this season of my life. I designed and printed a prayer journal and sermon notes journal but felt so overwhelmed with going about selling them that I closed the door on that project, at least for the time being.
I feel busy with work, homeschooling, parenting, church, etc., but at the same time I want to explore all of these things I have floating around in my brain. I just don’t know!
–> If we were having coffee right now… I’d laugh while I told you about the conversation I had with Sadie yesterday.
Me: What’s Niva’s favorite color?
Sadie: Snow.
Two is a fun age, that’s for sure. Sader Tot always has something to say and a lot of the time she has me laughing!
I’m glad you’re enjoying essential oils and natural products. π I like to use natural cleaning products too — I buy a brand called Method and I think they’re pretty eco-friendly.
It sounds like you’re very busy! Time goes too quickly and I know what you mean about having lots of ideas and things to do, but not enough time to do everything.
Sadie was very brave! I hope the tests are all clear.
Me too! I have used Method a few times (their all-purpose cleaning spray) and it smells amazing! I should look into that brand again!
Yes, time goes so fast! I hope your’re having a great month so far. I know it has to be a busy one for you!
You said it well–Sadie was very brave! Thank you for the well wishes for her π
Oh wow! I’m so glad that the blood draw went so much better than expected. I would have worried about the same thing!
I was so glad, too!
