Sadie at 2.5 Years Old

Sadie girl is now closer to three-years-old than she is to two. So wild! Here’s what’s up with Sader Tot at this fun age.

Toddler smiling in dress

Growth 36 inches tall (57th percentile) and 27 pounds, 8 ounces (36th percentile).

Wearing 2T clothes, size 7 shoes, and size 5 diapers.

Personality Friendly, sensitive, and very chatty.

Eating She is doing much better since we hunkered down with getting her to have three meals a day versus snacking all day. She likes cheerios, eggs, chocolate almond milk, overnight oats, peanut butter, juice, smoothies, and strawberries.

Her gastroenterologist has her on a low lactose diet because one of the tests she performed showed lactose intolerance. She just started a gluten free diet because the doctor said she may have a sensitivity to gluten as well. We’re going to see how she does with these changes and go from there!

Toddler wearing 101 Dalmatians dress and cowboy boots while looking at Skye Paw Patrol watch.

Nicknames Sader Tot, Tot, and TT

Sleeping Ever since her sleep regression, she has been doing so. much. better. She usually goes to bed around 8:00 pm and is up around 7:00 am. She takes an afternoon nap for about two hours.

Looks Like Jimmy. I get so excited when people say they think she looks like me!

New Skills Talking in full sentences and nonstop! Literally, she does not stop talking from the time she wakes up until the time she falls asleep. I just love hearing what’s on her mind and how she processes everything around her. She is counting and learning the alphabet, too!

Toddler girl balancing on one foot on toy.

Likes Anything Paw Patrol, reading, playing with her friends and family at church, being outside, doing school, eating fruit snacks, climbing things, going to the park, going on walks, picking out what she wears, all of her grandparents and aunts and uncles, our neighbor, Niva and Malcolm, jumping in puddles, helping in the kitchen, painting, playing with play doh, and playing with toys.

Dislikes Having her hair washed or brushed, leaving church, and being in her carseat.

Favorite Products Magnetic dollhouse, diaper rash cream spray, animal stamps, snack catcher cups, self-correcting puzzle, building blocks, drawing tablet, and ice cream cart.

Notes She met her new cousin, Lawson, in late March! She has had her blood drawn twice now and has been to the hospital and doctor’s office countless times in the past couple of months and has been such a good sport about it all. We’re so thankful she seems to be doing better lately!

Sadie is just such a joy and blessing to us. Over two years later, I still can’t believe God gave us this sweet little girl ❤️

  1. Yes, she certainly is a sweet girl. I love that she talks so much, and her heart is so full of love for everyone she meets!
I’m so happy her nutritional health is improving so much, and that she is advancing so much in her learning activities.
You and Jimmy are AMAZING parents, and Sadie is blessed to have you too!!

  2. I’m glad to hear the dietary changes are going well. She has been through a lot with doctor’s visits and blood draws. What a champ!
