Husky and toddler laying on couch together

Thoughts From The Past Few Days

– I went to the store to restock Jimmy’s melatonin gummies after the incident the other day and when I got home Jimmy looked at me and was like “Not to be rude, but did you wear that out?” LOL. I was wearing jogger sweatpants and an embroidered flowy white shirt. My only response was that I wore a jacket over the shirt 🤷🏼‍♀️

-I got Sadie this puzzle and we’ve both been having so much fun with it. I’ve really been enjoying playing matching games with Sadie. She smiles so big every time she finds a match and it’s the cutest. Fellow parents: are there any games for toddlers I should know about?! Tell me your favorites!

-See that box in the upper left hand corner of the above picture? A big Amazon box showed up at our door and Jimmy was super excited. I had no clue what it was. He bought a gigantic Nerf gun 😂 He’s been having a lot of fun with that as he gets ready for a Nerf battle at our church this weekend, lol.

-We’re supposed to get a few inches of snow today and I can’t wait!

-Just a photo of the partners in crime ^ I’m not sure which of them will enjoy the upcoming snow more?!

-I’ve been reading the account of Jesus’ birth in Luke 1 and verse 38 really stuck out to me this morning. I want to have the same attitude as Mary.

-Sadie let my mom put her hair in a pony!

-Our church youth group is putting together fruit and cookie trays for some members of our church tonight and I signed up to bake cookies for the trays. I can’t decide which cookies to make! I’m thinking I’ll bake gingersnaps but I’m not 100% sure. Any ideas?!

  1. Gingersnaps are a good idea! Have you ever made spritz cookies? You have to have the press, but I have the recipe on my blog where I make it an Italian cookie, smothering jam on one cookie, sandwiching it with another, and dipping half the sandwich in chocolate and then adding sprinkles! So good!

  2. I’m glad Jimmy is having so much fun with his new nerf gun. It’s funny what things bring us joy even as adults!

Those little matching puzzles look like so much fun!

Christopher would put in a vote for gingersnaps for sure. Those are one of his favorite Christmas cookies!

    1. YES! He’s just a big kid sometimes 😉

The matching puzzles have been such a great interactive activity to do together!

I ended up making gingersnaps! Thanks for the vote, Christopher 😉
