Meant for it, Strep Saga, and other Thoughts

I mentioned that we started a homeschool co-op last week. I didn’t mention that I get to help my sister teach preschool science at the co-op! If anyone has been reading my blog since 2011, you’ve seen my little sister grow up.

We used to play school, and she would even play school with Jimmy. She is meant to do this and she’s great at it. I love, love, love seeing my sister succeed and fulfill her dreams.

Standing in the back of the classroom and watching Hannah do her thing was like a full circle moment for me. All those times we would pull out workbooks and sit behind TV trays and learn and play came rushing back. (more…)

12 Things From Life Lately

1. I just finished reading my 31st book (this one) for 2023. Will I make it to 50 this year?! That’s the goal, but I think I’ve only achieved it once since beginning this blog, lol.

2. We had our first day of homeschool co-op this week! It was cool to see everything come together and Sadie said she had a great time with new and old friends, learning about America, Zoology (she even has a textbook!), and doing physical education.

3. Packing up to spend the day at our church for the co-op was no joke! Lunches, textbooks, diapers, water bottles, lesson plans, and more. I felt like a pack mule loading everything into our car! (more…)
