I was thinking about my next currently post the other day and was like oh man… November is coming up really fast! Well, here we are in November. We have the last two months of 2021 ahead of us and I’m excited!
November is such a festive time–I love Thanksgiving, decorating for Christmas, how cozy it is to light a candle and snuggle, and that extra hour of sleep for daylight savings time 😉

Here’s what’s current in my life this month. Feel free to join in and tell me what’s current for you in the comments. I love hearing what’s going on with you guys!
Current books Still working on the Bible study I mentioned in this post and Sadie has been enjoying this informative book as we look forward to Thanksgiving later this month!
Current baked good Gingerbread granola has been such a tasty snack lately 😊
Current food I made overnight dutch oven bread and it was fantastic! I gave some to my parents with homemade dipping oil and my dad texted me this below. I feel like a five-star chef could compliment me on something I bake but when my family or friends rave it means more to me ❤️

Current goal We have a pantry room in our basement that we store household items (decorations, china, fishing gear, etc.) in and it desperately needs to be organized. I’m hoping the rainy weather that has been keeping us inside lately will motivate me to get down there and get to work 😉
Current joy This season. I just love the holidays and all the excitement they bring. Reading about the birth of Jesus and sharing that story with Sadie is so special. Each year the holidays are more and more fun with her!
Current laugh One morning last week we had pest control doing a routine spray inside our house (Jimmy is terrified of spiders so he values this service a lot lol) and our neighbor came to our door and said there was a turtle in the street and she was worried it was cold and in danger but she had to leave for work. Soo obviously I took it in. I just had to laugh at the whole situation… we had a turtle in a box, a cat, dog, and toddler trying to play with it, and a harried Allie dealing with that and trying to communicate with pest control 😂

Current drink I recently bought apple cider and we went through it so quickly! I need to get more ASAP.
Current mood Happy. Content. Thankful.
Current beauty product Mark Kay Replenishing Serum C+E. I love the way this goes on my skin and how it feels afterwards. It might be my favorite MK product next to the eye makeup remover and moisture renewing gel mask.
Current cuteness My brother-in-law’s puppy. He decided to name her Peach! I get to pet sit her this week and I’m excited 😍

Current need Kinda thinking I need a stand mixer with all the baking I do. If you have one, let me know in the comments if you like having one! I usually knead bread by hand and use a hand mixer for batters and frosting.
Current indulgence Watching zoo-related TV shows after Sadie goes to bed and also looking at dogs and cats up for adoption cause I just want a whole bunch of animals 😂
Current craving A staycation with Sadie and Jimmy! Jimmy usually takes a day or two off work around this time each year so I’m craving a few relaxed days with my favorite people 💕
A look back:
Yay for a cosy time of the year, snuggly blankets and scented candles! 🙂
Peach is an adorable name for a puppy. She’s so gorgeous!
I have a stand mixer but I don’t bake much these days. But it is really good for when you have to mix ingredients like butter and sugar together. I imagine you’d probably find it useful.
The bread looks amazing! Have you ever tried dipping bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar? Just a small amount of balsamic in a dish of olive oil, served with fresh bread, is so delicious.
Life lately for me has been pretty hectic. I have a half-written draft of an email to you sitting in my inbox, so hopefully I’ll have time to finish it this week!
Oh girl, you NEED a stand mixer!!!! Best money I ever spent in my kitchen! For me, it is a game changer when making frosting for cupcakes, and I can only imagine that – with all the baking you do – it would be very much worth every penny. I honestly can’t imagine life without mine now. Ha, ha.
I love your update posts!!
I’ve been doing a LOT of photography lately, which has been fun. I’ve also been just enjoying outdoor play with the kiddos and truly embracing mom life.
I’m SO excited for the holidays!! 🙂
