Sunday Coffee Date

Hello and welcome to another Sunday Coffee Date post! This is one of my favorite types of posts–it’s just a fun casual time to chat as though we were meeting up for a cup of coffee. So, let’s do just that 😊

If we were having coffee right now… I would ask how you’re doing and what you’ve been up to this month. I haven’t been blogging as much as I would like to lately but I’m hoping to be more present in the upcoming weeks. I had two people complain about USPS shipping delays with my Etsy shop so I decided to just offer my bread locally. It’s the most popular item in my shop, but I don’t want people to have a bad experience with it arriving late, you know? It’s a lot of pressure off of my shoulders to just be shipping the granola and other items!

If we were having coffee right now… I would tell you that I finished about 90% of my holiday shopping and most of the items I purchased for family and friends are from small businesses! Speaking of small businesses, my friend Laura just launched the cutest kids gratitude journal in her shop!

If we were having coffee right now… I would laugh and tell you how obsessed Sadie is with dresses and skirts. She has a deep love for fancy nightgowns and it’s adorable (and also expensive, so I try and thrift ’em 😉). Meanwhile I’m over here sleeping in gym shorts and a t-shirt 😂

If we were having coffee right now… I would tell you that I’m working on a seasonal granola recipe for my Etsy shop–gingerbread granola (inspired by my friend Laura that I mentioned above)! I just bought some crystalized ginger and I’m going to add in molasses and all sorts of spices. Can’t wait to see how it turns out!

If we were having coffee right now… I would discuss the seminar Jimmy and I went to at our church on Saturday. It was about preaching, but also Christianity in general. It was a challenge to find childcare for Sadie from 8am-2pm, take Niva to daycare for the day, and coordinate it all but so, so worth it! It was an enriching day filled with Christian family and yummy pizza for lunch 😬

If we were having coffee right now… I would talk about how sweet my sister is. My slow cooker recently bit the dust and I asked to borrow hers for a chili cook off our church is having. A big box arrived at my house a few days later with none other than a brand new slow cooker inside! Thanks, Hannah 🥰

If we were having coffee right now… I would tell you that my sister opened an Etsy shop! She has some beautiful paintings and homemade cards in it with more items coming soon. I’m ordering a custom painting to decorate for Christmas and I can’t wait to show you guys when it’s finished 😍

If we were having coffee right now… I would show you the Bible study I’ve been working through each morning. It’s wonderful. If you have young kids, I would tell you that Sadie is loving this daily devotion book we do together each night as a family. It sparks lots of great conversations!

If we were having coffee right now… I would randomly ask if you have a favorite meat. Mine is definitely pork. Ever since I was pregnant with Sadie I have been mildly obsessed with pork 😂

If we were having coffee right now… I’d ask what your opinion on chocolate covered espresso beans is. I’m thinking of adding them to my Etsy shop but I’m not sure!

If we were having coffee right now… I would show you the book that the wonderful woman we buy dog food from gifted me! It’s all about the science behind helping your dog live a healthier, longer, and happier life. I am all about that. And the cover makes me smile every time I see it 😊
