It’s the last month of 2022! It feels like this year has flown by. December is always such a fun, busy, and special month.
I’m excited for all of the festive activities we’ll do and time we will spend with family and friends. Here’s a look at what’s current in my life this month.
Time for another Sunday Coffee Date post! Grab a cup of your favorite coffee (or tea!) and join me for a chat 🙂
If we were having coffee right now… I would tell you that I saved up for months and bought a Nespresso coffee machine and I feel like my life is officially changed. Is that dramatic? Yes. Is it true? Maybe!
We’ve always had a regular drip coffee maker along with a Keurig for those times when we just want one cup. I saw a review of Nespresso vs. Keurig on YouTube and it sparked my interest because Nespresso came out as the clear winner. Then I started researching like crazy. Then my sister-in-law got a Nespresso and raved about it.
The coffee is so smooth and I’ve been having a lot of fun trying out different roasts and varieties. So, coffee party at the Zottola Zoo this week, okay? You’re invited 🤓
If we were having coffee right now… I would mention that Sadie was totally cool with bugs until recently. She would dig in the garden and ask for me to find bugs for her to hold. Then one morning a centipede-type bug crawled towards her and “cornered” her against a wall in our house and she had the hardest time getting over it.
We talked about it a lot so she could process it, and then we went outside a few days later and a bee flew by her ear and she suddenly became terrified of bees, like to the point that she would ask to go inside because she thought she saw a bee. Needless to say, we’ve been reading some books about bugs and bees and that has been helpful. If any fellow parents have advice, I’m all ears!
If we were having coffee right now… I would ask what your favorite room in your house is. I think mine is our bedroom. It’s just simple and calm. It’s my favorite place to lock myself when Jimmy gets home from work and I’ve had a long day with the pets and Sadie 😬
When Malcolm (our cat) first shredded that bench in front of our bed I wanted to cry. Or scream. Or scream-cry. And then Niva chewed the legs. Now I smile every time I see it. It’s like hey, we live here. Our cat scratches this bench. Our toddler climbs inside it. Our dog chews on it. We’re so blessed to have this crazy life and if some stuff gets destroyed in the process, that’s okay. It’s just stuff 🤷♀️
If we were having coffee right now… I would tell you that my nephew is growing and doing well and just so precious. There’s nothing like snuggling a newborn baby.
If we were having coffee right now… I would show you a funny conversation between Jimmy and myself (I feel like that’s the only way we get to talk lately since we’ve been so busy 😂).
Our church has a stage at the front of the sanctuary and Sadie thinks it’s the coolest thing to run onto the stage any chance she gets. We’re having a seminar on dinosaurs and Creation at our church this week (if you’re local and want to come, send me an email!!) and Jimmy was at our church yesterday setting up the displays and sent me this text.
I’ll be able to tell you if she was fascinated or freaked out by the end of the day today, haha.
What would you want to talk about if we were having coffee?
