September marks the beginning of the “ber” months—aka the months that end in ber. September, October, November, and December. This month has so much to look forward to. From the start of fall to our Sadie girl’s eighth birthday, there are a lot of joyful things going on!
We’re currently at the beach, so the start of September feels weird for me. Everyone is back to school, decorating for fall, and planning pumpkin patch outings and we’re soaking up the last of summer. It’s a unique, jarring, and fun place to be in!
Current books The kids love when I read them the Usborne Children’s Bible. I’m re-reading Ina Garten’s memoir! I’d like to start this series next. I hear such good things about it!
Current food All the seafood! From snow crab to ahi tuna, I’ve been taking full advantage of all the fresh seafood in North Carolina.
Current fun We’re having a blast on vacation in North Carolina! We’ve visited Jockey’s Ridge State Park and Jennette’s Pier, played mini golf, ridden go-karts and bumper cars, hit up a few thrift stores, caught ghost crabs one evening, and spent countless hours on the beach and by the pool.
Current excitement My sister is expecting baby #5! I feel like she has a lot to share about God’s goodness with this pregnancy, but that’s her story to tell. Maybe we can convince her to write a guest post (you know, with all of her free time 😂)!
Current baked good I made an apple pie the other day and plan on baking some chocolate peanut butter granola next!
Current cuteness Dakota soaking up the sun. ☀️
Current craving Yoga. I need some stretching in my life!
Current drink Coffee and Prime Hydration, as per usual!
Current joy Crafting. Having a little extra time to pour into fun little projects has been so life-giving for me.
Current kid product Dakota absolutely loves hide and squeak eggs! These are so nostalgic for me because Sadie and Mordecai both loved them as babies/toddlers, too.

Current home product A very affordable and handy bracelet I like to put on the kids to keep mosquitoes away when we go outside.
Current beauty product A facial spray that smells like a spa and is so refreshing.

Current obsession Making stickers! I kept wanting to find weird and oddly specific stickers (read: a raccoon sipping a latte while sitting amongst pumpkins) but couldn’t find them. So I decided to make them. And it’s way too much fun!
