Happy November to you! We have an exciting month on deck: Mordecai turns two-years-old and Thanksgiving is later this month. I’m excited for all of the festive things going on and want to hear what you have going on this month.

As always, here’s what’s current in my life this month 🙂

Current books Recently finished up this book about homeschooling, am studying the book of Philippians, and have my eye on this book and workbook which came out last month! I’d also like to read Ina Garten’s memoir. Has anyone read it? I’d love to hear what you thought if so! Sadie is loving (as am I–it’s so cute) The Bakery Dragon.

Current confession Mordecai was in desperate need of a haircut but I was too busy to make an appointment so I pulled out our clippers and cut it myself and I think I cut it a bit too short! Sorry, bud!!

Current joy Family walks each evening when Jimmy gets home from work! It may be dark out, and it might be chilly… but I love that together time to just walk and talk and get some fresh air.

Current kid product Glass mason jar cups. The kids have been into smoothies lately and their old cups (from Sadie’s toddler days!) were on their last leg so I ordered these and they’re great. Mordecai has a little habit of pulling the straw out of cups (whyyyyy) and there’s a stopper so he can’t do that with these cups–yay!

Current prayer For the United States. As I type this post, it’s Election Day. Praying for our country, a fair election, and no civil unrest in the coming weeks.

Current cuteness Sadie and Mordecai watching TV on the floor when they have two perfectly good couches near them haha.

Current food I’ve been making a lot of chicken thighs lately. I usually marinate them in honey mustard and lemon juice with salt and pepper and then bake them at 425 degrees for 25 minutes and they always come out tangy and juicy. Yum!

Current excitement My sister’s anatomy scan is next month. I’m so excited to find out how the twins are doing and if she’s having two boys, two girls, or one of each! What’s your guess?

Current drink Nespresso coffee! I love my machine (the Nespresso Vertuo) and the blonde Starbucks pods. It feels like a little treat every morning ☕️

Current obsession Organizing, decluttering, cleaning… so I guess nesting?!

Current baked good Mint chocolate cupcakes pictured in this post!

Current procrastination Planning a menu for Mordecai’s family birthday party at our house. I’m thinking tacos? Maybe? If you have any ideas, send them my way!

Current craving A night away with Jimmy! Or just a date. Or time to just talk without interruptions, lol.

Current need Getting the kids seasonal clothes like long sleeve shirts, boots, socks, etc. as the temperatures begin to drop in the next few months!

Current mood Happy and excited for the upcoming season 🎄

Currently making Christmas Oreos for Etsy. I had so much fun sourcing sprinkles and chocolate molds to design these!

Current question What are your plans for Thanksgiving (if you’re in the U.S.!)? We’ll be having dinner at my mom and dad’s house with my sister’s family 🤎

Current beauty product As I am Curling Jelly. If you have curly hair you’ve got to try it!

Current goal Getting Sadie’s room ready for her little sister! We figured out we can squeeze a crib in there (YAY), so we moved her bed and bookshelf around. Now, phase two is to clean the baseboards, steam mop, declutter, and beg Jimmy to paint. Phase three will look like getting a crib and very small dresser for her clothes and a changing pad. For reference, this is what Sadie’s room looked like when she was a baby 🩷

Current fun Little outings with Sadie! She is so fun to take out and about for mom and Sadie time!

Current blessing Having a smooth pregnancy thus far. Baby girl is growing and I’m feeling good. I can’t explain what a blessing and joy this is to experience. God has been so kind to our family.

Current indulgence Making book lists of the next novels, Bible studies, and memoirs I’d like to pick up!

Current laugh One night Sadie and I were laying together in my bed after reading and she said “Mom, your hands are just so cute I want to rip them off!” LOL. The things kids say are the best.

    1. Aww, thank you!! His hair really does grow so fast! Maybe I’ll leave it to the professionals next time… or research a bit more haha.

So far, it seems like things are calm post-election!! Praying that continues to be the case!

Can’t wait for all the upcoming family time with Decky’s party, then Thanksgiving and Christmas…. which is coming up too fast!

Thank you for praying for mine and Hannah’s pregnancies–it means so much to us!
