September! Not sure how it’s the ninth month of 2023, but here we are. Fall officially begins this month, we started our school year, and Sadie turns five years old at the end of the month. What is going on for you in September?

Current books The Peacock Emporium, Unstoppable, and Sadie and I are on the final Zoey and Sassafras book!
Current baked good I’ve been practicing baking and decorating Sadie’s birthday cake. She wants a fox cake 🦊
Current food On a salmon kick lately. Also enjoying kimchi jjigae.
Current prayer A friend of mine had twin girls! They’re in the NICU, so lots of prayers for growth and health are happening over here!
Current drink Starbucks Komodo Dragon coffee in the morning and a vanilla iced latte in the afternoon if I’m dragging (which is always, lol).
Current joy Everyday life. Eating dinner as a family, reading in bed with Sadie, snuggling Mordecai, baking new recipes, and catching up with Jimmy.
Current craving A staycation with Jimmy!
Current fun Still loving our hot tub. Sadie finally got brave enough to go under water and she’s now hooked on swimming around in the hot tub and “diving” for toys at the bottom!
Current blessing Being generous whenever I can. It’s so true that it’s more blessed to give than receive. I love looking for ways to give of myself, my belongings, my time, etc. to others.
Current obsession Looking at lockets. I’d love to find a heart locket with a picture of each kid on either side of the heart.
Current kid products Mordecai chows on these snack sticks lately and these retractable markers are a game changer. No more lost caps!
Current beauty product This sparkly eyeshadow is nice for when I’m feeling fancy.
Current goal Working on a fall menu for my business!
Current laugh I looked out our back door the other day and Niva was sleeping on the hot tub?!
Current excitement Fall decorating. I haven’t done any decorating just yet but I’m looking forward to it.

I did the tiniest bit of fall decorating- I guess because I’m just not a huge seasonal decorator (mainly because I’m lazy and don’t have a lot of decor).
Sadie turning 5 this month is CRAZY- and Deck will be 10 months soon 😳😳
So proud of Sadie’s recent swimming and diving skills! Her lessons paid off 🥰
