What do stripes, tattoos, and trampolines have in common? Not much, except my life has included all three the past few days!
I got to hold my nephew, Titus, at church on Sunday and I told everyone that we planned matching stripe outfits. Also, thank you to my sister for passing on her maternity clothes to me! Hand-me-downs (or hand-me-ups since I’m older…) are the best 🙌
Hannah and I have been discussing how we want our boys to wear alllll the matching outfits once my little guy arrives. We’re thinking they’ll be close in size, and definitely close in age, so we are using the opportunity to dress them alike while we can 😉
Tattoos have been pretty popular in our house lately. We got some Pokemon temporary tattoos for Sadie’s upcoming Sonic/Pokemon themed birthday party and tested them out. Even Jimmy’s dad and step mom got tattoos the other night!
Speaking of Pokemon, Sadie and I were playing with her play-doh the other day and she asked me to make Pikachu out of play-doh.
I had flashbacks to my Elsa creation last time Sadie asked me to make a character out of play-doh. I tried my best, but it still came out looking pretty disturbing 😆
Sadie was pleased with it, so I was happy. I was also happy when it got crumpled into a ball and I didn’t have to look at my poor artwork anymore, lol.
Labor Day was rainy here in Pittsburgh. I spent a lot of the morning cleaning our fridge. I pulled everything out, washed each shelf, went through the condiments to see if anything was expired, and it was a very satisfying chore!
We got out of the house for coffee, a trip to Lowes, and then later on I took Sadie to the mall to play in the kids area so she could get some energy out. Back to the coffee, though. I asked Jimmy to take a “cheers” picture and below is how it came out.
Cute, right? This was Jimmy’s face while I took it 😂
I think he should be used to endless pictures by now! He’s been a blog husband for the past eight years. He did report that the iced apple crisp drink is very good!
Tuesday morning looked like this: Sadie and I did some Brain Quest cards first thing, then we played a matching game and she loved it!
She found her tights (which I hid over the summer because she always wants to wear tights 🤷♀️) and winter dresses and Niva decided to sit on the couch like a human.
Then we went to the trampoline park! It was our first time and we just may have to get a membership because Sadie (and I!) had such a fun time.
I don’t know why I thought it would be good idea to bounce on trampolines while seven months pregnant, but I probably won’t be doing that again anytime soon. Next time, I’ll watch Sadie bounce and cheer her on from the sidelines like a sane pregnant person 😜
The bonus of playing at the trampoline park was that it tired Sadie out! We got home and read her school books on the couch. I asked her what she thought of the story and her eyes were fluttering shut so adorably. Aaaand that’s why I am blogging right now: she took a nap! Yay!
Alas, I have some laundry to fold and an Etsy order to work on, so off I go. Talk to you next time 😊
Sadie standing in the window in her tights and Nica sitting like a human is the best pic!
Love 💕 you!

Aww, holding Titus!! ❤ And all the matching outfits for the boys will be so precious!!
The tattoos are fun! We tried some rainbow ones this summer and those were fun!
Oh girl, trampoline!! We have one in our backyard, but I haven't jumped on it since being pregnant because I've just been too nauseated. But even if I weren't, I can't imagine jumping while 7 months pregnant, haha! Glad you two had so much fun!
Ahhh apple crisp macchiato sounds so good! Even though I have a new love for iced coffee, I probabaly would have got a hot coffee if I was there for a rainy day!
I was surprised he liked it! I was kinda worried apple in coffee would be weird, but I guess not! I think it would be good hot, though!
You and Titus are rocking those stripes!! Looking forward to the matching outfit photos of the boy cousins. You are such a sport for jumping on the trampoline while pregnant! Good job. Temporary tattoos are so fun! The best kind of tattoo and the only kind I’m interested in. 😉
Hahaha, yes, I like the painlessness of temporary tattoos, too! And the fact that they’re temporary! Can’t wait to share all the cousin matching pictures soon! The trampoline… what was I thinking, hahah! I will be doing that *after* baby arrives from here on out 😂
