Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! You know what Friday means… it’s time for another Friday Favorites post. These have truly become so much fun for me to put together. I’m always thinking of things to add to this post as the week goes on and I really look forward to reading the comments and learning what your favorites are, so let me know!

Today is an iron infusion day for me, so I’ll be at the hospital for a bit, but hopefully the rest of the weekend is more fun 😜 Okay, let’s get right to the favorites!

Nails painted yellow

Yellow nail polish. My favorite color is yellow. I just love it because it’s so bright and happy! I’ve never painted my nails yellow because I wasn’t sure if it would make them look… dingy? I decided to just go for it and painted them “Daisy Dukes” yellow and like how my little home manicure turned out!

Titus update. I have another good update on my sister’s baby, Titus! She had a biophysical profile this week and he passed. He is still measuring small and Hannah will be at the doctor’s office 3x a week until the end of her pregnancy to check on him with nonstress tests and ultrasounds, but she’s hopeful to keep him growing inside her until 37 weeks. Please keep praying for Hannah, her family, and Baby Titus 💙

First aid travel kit. I can’t remember where I was recently but my finger was bleeding and I was so annoyed at myself for not having a bandage in my purse! I ended up wrapping a piece of paper around my finger like a weirdo and vowed to get a travel first aid kit ASAP. I now have a human repair kit and I feel better about my life already 😂

Daily cleaning routine. I’ve developed a little daily cleaning routine for our house and all feels right in the world when I do these tasks each day: lint roll Niva’s fur off the couches and pillows, clean nose smudges and fingerprints off of our picture window, wipe down the kitchen counters and table, make the bed, and vacuum. Do you have any cleaning tasks that you do every day?

Crafting with Sadie. When I was pregnant with Sadie, I couldn’t wait to bake and craft with her. Those days are here and I am so enjoying them! We’ve been painting this adorable (and very affordable!) stepping stone and also made butterfly magnets with this (also inexpensive!) kit. While craft kits are fun, we also sometimes just get out markers, scissors, paint, and glue and experiment together. Our kitchen table looks like a rainbow by the end of the day with marker smears and paint splatters and I wouldn’t have it any other way 🥰

Artesano bread. Totally random, but bread is definitely a favorite for me all the time 😬 I’m off of my pumpernickel and rye kick and onto Sara Lee artesano bread. I’ve heard people rave about this bread, and it definitely lives up to the hype! I grabbed a loaf at the grocery store recently and it’s *chef’s kiss* good 🤌🏼

Planning. Sadie’s birthday isn’t until September, but I get a smile on my face every time I think about planning her fourth birthday party. I’m just starting to mull over whether we will have the celebration at our house with family or perhaps invite some of her friends and cousins to a kid-friendly place (the aviary? gymnastics gym? candy shop?). If you have any fun ideas, send them my way 😉

What are some of your favorites from the week?
