Whew, life has been a complete whirlwind lately! While I’ve been busy, it has been the best kind of busy–doing things I absolutely love to do ❤️
Taking care of our daughter, our pets, real estate work, running an Etsy shop, being involved with our church, keeping up with housework, etc. is all a joy to me. I just need a few more hours in the day 😉
–> Okay, here’s something random to start this post off with: if you see these bunny-shaped graham crackers in stores, do yourself a favor and buy more than one box. They’re so delicious! I may or may not be hiding them from Sadie 😜
–> I was interested in learning about Kindles for reading and asked my sister if she liked hers… and she gave it to me. What! Now I don’t have to lug books around. I’m really enjoying it 😊 Thank you, Hannah!
–> Etsy has been keeping me busy. I had someone ask to order 150 bags of peppermint bark and another person wanted to order 60 bags of granola. I had to turn them both down because, like I said above, there’s not enough time in the day, but it never ceases to amaze me that when God puts a passion on your heart and you follow through with it, He does awesome things.
–> Sadie and I picked up a gingerbread village kit last week and I’m so excited to make it with her and Jimmy! I think he’s taking a day or two off of work later this week for a staycation, so we will definitely put gingerbread house-making on the agenda 😬
–> Jimmy is in the process of replacing the windows in our garage and basement and I can’t believe what a difference it has made! He finished up the garage windows on Saturday and it looks like a whole new room and so much brighter. Oh the things you find joy in as a homeowner 😂
–> We stopped at McDonald’s last night after church and Sadie said “Dongies (that’s what she calls it 😂) I missed you!” and blew it a kiss. LOL.
–> My mom came over last week and brought along a few dog toys that her dogs didn’t use and it was like Christmas Day for Niva. She was so excited. It was adorable watching her play with her “new” toys and have so much fun 😍
–> A few of the women at our church offered babysitting on Saturday so couples could get some Christmas shopping done and it was the highlight of my month so far. It was amazing to spend a few uninterrupted hours with Jimmy ❤️
–> Our cousin Hunter turned three. I feel like I remember the day he was born like it was yesterday! I was blessed to make cupcakes to celebrate him. He’s such a fun, sweet little guy.
Alright, I better get going. Lots to do today!
Your Etsy Shop is rocking that’s for sure – and I’m SOOO glad you know your limits. I’m sure its hard to turn orders down, but those were crazy big!!
I’m glad Niva liked the “used” toys from Ref-Ref… He’ll never know the difference that 🙂
That pic of Niva is gorgeous!! She’s turned into such a good girl! I’m glad you and Jimmy had fun during your shopping day, and I hope he is able to take some days off this week for some family fun time. I can’t wait to see the windows he installed, and I look forward to the coming days we get to spend together for Christmas Eve and Day!!
Love you,
Madre
Wow! Those are some huge Etsy orders! Is that something you could see yourself wanting to do in the future with a commercial kitchen? Or do you think you would prefer to keep things on a small scale? Amazing either way!
Oo, I would love that!!
