Pittsburgh

From Lola with Love

Hey guys. It’s me, Lola.

I have a confession to make. I’ve ate a ton of cat litter since Malcolm joined our family. I just can’t help myself. I think it tastes so good. I also chewed a cutting board. Sometimes I just don’t know what to do with myself!

Do I look guilty?

I’m adjusting to my new brother. I’d love to snuggle with him, but he just wants to play with me. Malcolm certainly makes life interesting around here!

I enjoy fall and the cooler weather here in Pittsburgh, but I get allergies at this time of year. Ugh. I’ve been biting my paws like crazy and had to go to the vet for an ear infection. My mom gives me medicine hidden inside spoonfuls of peanut butter, so I can’t complain too much. Allergies have their perks.

Guess what I did for the first time last week!

I visited the groomer! She brushed me, gave me a bath, cleaned my ears, trimmed my nails, put a snazzy new bandana around my neck, and even spritzed me with dog perfume. It was the perfect spa day.

Alright, I better get going. My mom is going to leave for work, so I better say goodbye to her and give her a big kiss. Have a great day!

Meet Malcolm

I have a very special little guy to introduce to you today.

malcolmmalcolm

His name is Malcolm, and he is the newest member of our little family. He’s almost five months old, and just the sweetest thing. Jimmy and I adopted him on September 9th, and since then he has brought so much joy to our home.

He’s curious, playful, and likes to snuggle. He purrs almost nonstop. We’re convinced he has a motor inside his belly.

I have to admit, I haven’t been able to get much done lately. I just want to hang out with this little dude all. the. time.

Lola and Malcolm are getting along well!

They’re both very interested in each other, and Lola is especially interested in trying to eat Malcolm’s food and litter. I can’t wait for the day I catch them cuddling together. (Edited to add: I caught them cuddling a few months later!)

Malcolm likes
-Eating wet food and treats
-Drinking from Lola’s water dish
-The toilet
-Chasing ping pong balls around the house

Malcolm dislikes
-Being taken off the kitchen counters
-Being taken off the kitchen table
-Not being allowed to eat mine and Jimmy’s food

We adopted him from Animal Friends, if any Pittsburgh readers are interested. We had a great experience, and I’d recommend it to anyone local that’s looking to adopt a cat or dog.

Okay, you guys, I can’t stop with the vlogs. I’m having way too much fun making them, so I just had to make a little video introducing Malcolm 🙂
