What do mini cheesecakes, a loose tooth, and a kids’ tent have in common? Not much, aside from the fact that they’re all things I have pictures of in my camera roll!
Here’s a look at life lately around here according to my photos. Let’s catch up!
Jimmy told me that he bought the kids a tent on a whim and wanted them to have a living room sleepover. How cute is that?!
They were so, so excited! Sadie and Mordecai had their little sleepover and I just loved seeing them snuggled up together when I checked on them in the morning. 🥹
When I peeked in on them at 5:30 the next morning, I made a critical mistake. I started our coffee maker. It grinds our beans and was just too loud and the kids woke up. Womp, womp!
This goofy little picture makes me so happy! I put together a fall-themed scavenger hunt for the kids last week and the prizes at the end were stuffed animals. The girls dressed their cats up with Sadie’s jewelry from her Pretty Pretty Princess game. 😂
I’m already planning a Thanksgiving scavenger hunt for next month! I just adore making those fun memories with the kids.
Hot tub time! Doesn’t matter what time of day it is, I’m always down to get in.
Love Koko’s smile!
The kids have been doing well with their homeschool lessons.
I made mini chocolate peanut butter cheesecakes! My Walmart delivery order accidentally included two bricks of cream cheese that I hadn’t ordered, so I had to put them to good use. It was kismet. 😂
We worked on school lessons in our homeschool room. Well, Sadie did. These two monkeys played! 😂
I made gluten free chocolate chip cookies for our neighbor who has celiac disease. I used this recipe and subbed King Arthur 1:1 gluten free flour for the all-purpose flour.
I also prepped a week’s worth of ginger shots for Jimmy. He loves the kick of fresh ginger and lemon every morning!
My mom got to snuggle with Dakota and my sister’s son, Gideon, at church. 🤗
My mom and dad bought some acreage so we went to scope out the land!
Dakota played with her fall-themed sensory bin. It kept her busy long enough for me to fold a basket of laundry. That was a win!
Sadie had a loose tooth! It was hanging on for dear life until a wrestling match with Mordecai knocked it out. 😂
I went to our local Goodwill bin store and scored this shirt for Dakota for $0.25!
Niva enjoyed a lovely walk! I enjoyed a lovely pull through the neighborhood. 😂
Other Notes and Thoughts 📝
- Scripture I’m loving: For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. 2 Corinthians 1:5 🙏🏻
- It’s getting dark outside so early nowadays. It’s jarring! 💡
- Recipes I want to make: butternut squash muffins and apple cider pork chops. 🍎
- Any time I’m pulling milk out of the fridge and the expiration date is, say, Christmas or one of the kids’ birthdays I always smile. Does anyone else notice things like that? 🤣
- Sadie put Dakota to bed for me the other night. It was so sweet! 🥲
- When I’m shopping alone, people always ask me for directions within a store or other random questions because they think I’m a worker. I can’t tell you how many times this happens to me. 🤷🏼♀️
- Putting on a brand new pair of socks is one of the best feelings! These are my favorite. 🧦
