Hello July! We’re in peak summer and I’m loving it! The extra sunlight, the warmth, the activities. It’s all so lovely 😊

As always, here’s what’s current in my life this month. Please share yours in the comments!

Current books Lots of good reading lately! I’m in the middle of A Million Tiny Moments, which gives lots of Biblical encouragement for motherhood. During my morning devotional time, I’m working through Unhurried Grace for a Mom’s Heart and Introvert by Design. Also re-reading The Unhurried Homeschooler. Sadie has been enjoying Lighthouse Dog to the Rescue (based off of a true story!) and Mordecai loves this interactive book about jungle animals.

Current food Coconut peanut butter granola. Love having a bowl of this with milk before bed each night.

Current drink Starbucks Sunsera coffee in the morning and iced coffee in the afternoon!

Current baked good I made a blueberry pie for the first time! I usually rotate between cherry and apple but wanted to challenge myself to do something different. Now I’m on a pie kick, because after I did that, I made a cherry strawberry pie. I’ll have to post the recipe soon!

Current goal Doing a little front porch revamp. I realized I had faux flowers in a planter that were from Valentine’s Day, no wreath or hanging on our front door, and no table to sit at (we moved it out back!). I’m excited to spruce up the space!

Current need New face wash! I am almost out of my current one and am eyeing up this Clinique foaming face wash.

Current laugh Mordecai was FaceTiming with his cousin Olive (she’s almost two-years-old) and they were literally just smiling while staring at each other’s foreheads for like five minutes straight. Toddlers, man. They’re too funny!

Current blessing Hanging out with Sadie, Mordecai, and Dakota each and every day. I am so aware of how fleeting these days are and I want to be present and experience all the joys of little everyday moments with them 🫶

Current beauty product This shampoo and conditioner set keeps my hair moisturized in the dry summer heat.

Current excitement We purchased tickets for Kennywood (Pittsburgh’s amusement park). Can’t wait to pick a day to take the kids.

Current joy Being right where God has me. Embracing the responsibility and privilege of being a wife, mother, and homemaker.

Current home product I’m addicted to these pens! Also really loving this (less than $6!) dryer lint vent cleaner. It’s one of those things that’s very satisfying to use 🤣

Current prayer Lots of prayers for people in our lives who are sick. There are a few people (Jimmy included!) we know who are struggling through chest sicknesses like bronchitis and pneumonia. Praying for health!

Current baby product A rattle for Dakota based off of Sadie’s favorite amphibian 😬

Current fun I’ve been loving taking a yoga class 1x a week with my sister-in-law! I was cracking up at the last class because I rolled out my mat and there were a smear of ketchup on it because the kids use it nonstop to play (and apparently eat) on 😂 Made me smile every time I was in down dog!

Current kid product Sadie just loves these little animal dolls! She especially loves that they look like our own dog 🐶

Current pet product Using this pet hair roller multiple times a day as Niva blows her coat.

Current craving An afternoon wandering around Hobby Lobby. I just love craft stores. There’s so much inspiration and so many little crafts and projects I want to do!

Current scripture “We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” 2 Corinthians 10:5

Current cuteness The kids all woke up at the same time and snuggled in Sadie’s bed. The sweetest 🤍
