Hello to June! Summer starts this month and I am so excited for all of the fun ahead of us in the next couple of months ☀️

As usual, here’s what’s current in my life this month. Please share what’s current for you in the comments!

Current books For nonfiction, I’m reading Mother / Founder and Introvert by Design. For fiction, I just started The True Love Experiment. Also spending a lot of time in the book of Exodus in the Bible as I study the life of Moses. Sadie has been into Oopsie Otter and we started a new series: Jasper and Scruff. We’ve been reading Mordecai Everybody Potties on repeat along with Good Night Diggers and the newest Biscuit book!

Current food A big soft pretzel with honey mustard dipping sauce. Always hits the spot! Oh and hush puppies. I feel like hush puppies are a marriage of cornbread and funnel cakes. YUM!

Hush puppies

Current drink Always coffee! Still stuck on/obsessed with Starbucks Sunsera coffee beans. If we go out for coffee, I love to get an iced vanilla latte. If I make an iced coffee at home, I’ve been using Stok cold brew, Califia Farms barista oat milk, and Torani syrup.

Current baked good Corn muffins and pie crust for apple pie!

Current fun Working on a paint by number project. It’s so hard for me to take the time to do things like this but I’m so glad when I do! Even if I just chip away at it for a few minutes a day, it’s very soothing to my soul 🙂

Paint by number

Current need Candles. We lost power quite a few times this spring and burned through most of our candles, lol! I love an excuse to buy a candle 😉

Current excitement Sadie and I have just a few days of homeschool left for this school year! I’m thinking we need to plan a special Mommy-Sadie date night to celebrate!

Current blessing Vacation! We’re currently in the Outer Banks, NC with my mom and dad and having such a nice trip. I’ll do a full post on our trip soon!

Current home product My go-to all purpose cleaner in the best scent!

Current beauty product This hair potion works wonders on my curly hair and I love the way it smells! Also using this sleeping mask every night and it truly blocks out all light.

Current joy Riding bikes with Sadie! She is getting so proficient on her bike and it’s fun to go on a ride with her and Jimmy!

Current craving An afternoon meandering around a store with no time constraints sounds fun!

Current goal Planning out Sadie’s homeschool for next year! I need to send in some paperwork to our school district and choose her curriculum for each subject. I’m excited!

Current cuteness Dakota! She’s no longer an unaware newborn but a smiley, sweet baby and we are just loving her so much.

Current kid product A mess-free rock painting kit. Both Sadie and Mordecai (…and mommy!) love using these paint markers on rocks.

Current prayer For Dakota’s hemangioma to shrink! She’s been on her beta blocker eye gel for a few weeks now and we’re praying it can help so we don’t have to do any more serious medications or procedures 🙏🏻

  1. I hope you’re having a wonderful trip in the Outer Banks! ☀️

Congratulations on almost finishing another year of home-school. I watched your recent vlog as I was having my coffee yesterday morning and you’re such an amazing teacher for Sadie. She’s clearly making great progress!

Also keeping my fingers crossed that the beta blocker gel is working. I hope you get some positive updates from the doctors soon.

SO much has been happening in my life recently. I just wrote a blog post summarizing some of it, but it’s hard to fit it all into one post!

    1. Thank you! We are having such a great trip… I’m sad for it to end! We’re on our last day or two and I’m in that weird zone of anticipating going home but also savoring each moment here. Ahh, the emotions haha.

Thank you so, so much for your sweet words about me teaching Sadie. That means the world to me, especially coming from someone with your experience!

We are due to send in photos of Dakota’s hemangioma soon, so hopefully we get a good report back!

You have had SO much going on lately! Alllll the good things! I am just smiling right now thinking about all the joy in your life!
