April is here! It feels like a breath of fresh air. I have been loving seeing nature come to life and enjoying the extra daylight each evening.

Here’s what’s current in my life this month. As always, please share what’s up for you this month!

Current books I’m on the third book in the Bridgerton series, Sadie has been enjoying books by author Salina Yoon, and Mordecai has been loving an informational book about the water cycle. 😂

Current fun Jimmy and I had the idea to have the kids try foods that we liked growing up in the 90s. We’ve been introducing them to a few new things each day (think Slim Jims, Capn’ Crunch cereal, Toaster Strudels, and Sunny D) and filming their reactions! I’m compiling all the videos and will post them when they’ve tried everything.

Current laugh I was lying on the floor while the kids were playing with Lego Duplo and Dakota got a brick lost in my hair and started crying because she couldn’t find it. 😆

Current excitement Jimmy made a sandbox for Mordecai! This project was the big motivator for Mordecai to finish potty training. He did it and now he is getting his own sandbox made by daddy! Jimmy made it in just a few hours. HOW!? He never ceases to amaze me.

Current need Sand toys! We have to find metal ones, though, because Niva will chew them if they’re plastic. 😅

Current food Tuna salad with crackers has been hitting the spot lately!

Current drink Starbucks Sunsera coffee beans and Prime Hydration.

Current baked good Cookie dough balls. Why is cookie dough just as good as baked cookies?! I’ve been using this recipe lately.

Current cuteness Mordecai wearing his Spiderman mask to keep the sun out of his eyes in the car.

Current blessing I had the honor of speaking at a ladies event at our church over the weekend! It went well and the event was truly so much fun. It’s such a joy to spend time with the ladies in our church. 🥰

Currently looking forward to Sadie’s homeschool evaluation next month! We are almost finished up with her first grade year. It has been such a great year of learning for us both!

Current celebration My nephew, Gideon, turns one tomorrow! We’re excited to go to his birthday party later this week and make the cupcakes for the big celebration. My sister and I were reflecting on how when I held him in the NICU I said “I can’t wait to make your first birthday cupcakes!” and now here we are.

Current joy Spending time with these sweeties!

Current indulgence Dreaming of book projects!

Current confession I feel like I’m aging! I recently did something to my back and I’ve had to baby it for the past month or so. I’m thinking it’s time for physical therapy!

Current craving Horseback riding. I should probably get my back in order before I do that, though. 😜
