Happy December! I’m not sure how it’s the final month of 2024 but here we are. It’s shaping up to be a good one with all sorts of fun and festive activities planned.

Current books I’m really loving Ina Garten’s memoir and I’m also working through Gospel Mom and the accompanying workbook. Sadie and I are reading Karen’s Little Sister, and Mordecai and I have been reading Biscuit Gives a Gift and Biscuit’s Christmas Eve together.
Current drink Still stuck on these pods for our Nespresso and loving them!
Current food Chicken scarpariello. I love to order this from one of our favorite Italian restaurants near my parents’ house and decided I needed to learn how to make it on my own! I was nervous it would be too spicy so I decreased the amount of cherry peppers but I’d totally use all the recipe called for next time 😜
Current baked good I’ve been loving a classic chocolate chip cookie every night before bed 🍪
Current laugh Niva and Runah lounging on our hot tub as usual! Also, we’ve been listening to kids Christmas music in the car lately and “Jingle Bell Rock” is a favorite of Mordecai’s. When the song says “giddy up jingle horse, pick up your feet” Mordecai literally lifts his little feet and it’s so cute!
Current confession I’m so busy lately. Between Etsy, life, homeschooling, parenting, pregnancy stuff, and keeping up with the house… whew! It’s a lot but all good things.
Current blessing All of the family fun during this Christmas season. This weekend, our neighborhood had its annual First Night of Lights where the neighborhood Christmas tree is lit. We did a tractor ride, hung out by a bonfire, and enjoyed cookies, and cocoa. Afterwards, we hopped in the car and drove around to look at Christmas lights. To cap the evening off, the kids ate snacks and watched a Mickey Mouse Christmas movie while snuggling on the couch. Love it!
Current mood Joyful and busy!
Current question What is your favorite dinner lately?
Current cuteness Sadie putting the star on our Christmas tree! We are all decorated and loving the festive spirit around the house.
Current obsession Curling up with a book before falling asleep. I treasure that time every day!
Current procrastination Cleaning the baseboards in Sadie’s room as we prepare for her sister’s arrival. Soon we will be adding in a crib and dresser in there and I want to really clean and organize the space. I’m thinking the cold winter days of January and February will be a good opportunity for that.
Current joy These two blessings 🩷🩵
Current craving As per usual… a date with Jimmy!
Current need More time! A housekeeper! When my Etsy shop gets busy around the holidays, I always fall behind on putting away laundry and lose sleep staying up late to pack orders 😂
Current kid product A fun CVC word spelling game! I love to pull this out when I do school with Sadie for a fun way to get her spelling and reading.
Current home product I got this choking rescue device for our car. I have one in the house and it gives me a lot of peace of mind. I’m glad to have one on hand in the car now, too!
Current excitement Christmas! It’s so exciting to celebrate Jesus’ birth and give gifts to others. I love this time of year 🎄 Also majorly excited for my sister’s anatomy scan this week. We’ll probably have another twin pregnancy blog post coming up soon after with how updates on how she and the babies are doing!
Currently making Lots and lots of chocolate covered Oreos. Like dozens every day. I love it!
Current beauty product I’m almost out of this body wash, which is one of my favorite scents.
Current goal Finding balance between everything I have going on this month and season of life!
Current fun We had a family gingerbread house making night! As always, Jimmy took it very seriously, the kids ate more candy than they put on the house, and I smiled the whole time 🥰
Current indulgence Blogging when I should be doing a million other things. I just love this little space, though!

aw, such a great post on the joyous/crazy month of December. I know you’ve been so busy with your Etsy shop… and I have no clue how you keep it all so organized~ with all you have going on with your busy mom life. The evening you made the chicken ‘scarp’ dish- I can honestly say it smelled DELISH- but I just can’t do spicy food (like, not at all).
I love all the pics of the kids and your whole family, and of course Niva and Ru on the hot tub – bff’s 🥰
I have to say my favorite meal lately is anything with chicken thighs- they’re just so tasty and delicious no matter how you make them.

Aww, thank you! It certainly is a busy time for me! I enjoy it so much! And I love seeing Runah and Niva together. It’s so sweet. They’re having a sleepover this week–yay!!
