Friday Favorites

Hello and Happy Friday! Do you have any fun plans this weekend? I know U.S. readers will have a long weekend to celebrate the Fourth of July. I’m excited to see Sadie enjoy all the fireworks. Our little pyro-obsessed child πŸ˜‚

Today I’m sharing all the favorite moments and things from my life lately. Please join in and share what your favorites are in the comments!

Vacation Bible School at church

Vacation Bible School. Our church had its annual VBS this past week and it was such a joy to be a part of! Jimmy and I headed up the elementary school crafts, Sadie went to the preschool class, and we all enjoyed a few evenings of fun and worship. It was definitely a busy week with some late nights (we have a long drive to/from from our church!), but worth it. I will be trying to catch up on sleep all weekend 😴

Taking care of my nails. I’ve been on a kick with taking care of my nails lately and it feels so good. I painted them this week and also picked up this luxurious cuticle and hand scrub and oh my word does it smell and feel dreamy!

All sorts of baking. My Etsy shop was busy this week, and I also did some baking for VBS. I made peanut butter cookies with a chocolate drizzle and got so many compliments on them. Totally unexpected because I made them on a whim the day before they were due at the church. Jimmy even told me they were Etsy-worthy. So, maybe you’ll be seeing these in the shop soon πŸ˜‰

A big blessing. The woman we buy Niva’s dog food off of said that one of her customers had a dog that ate Pawlicious (<–the name of the dog food) and passed away. The owner wanted to donate the leftover food to another customer and guess who it was given to! So, so, so sweet! Feeling very thankful for such kind people πŸ’œ

Insect trapper. I love summer, but every time our family was outside, we were getting destroyed by mosquitos. Like bites all over. Jimmy was fed up, so he ordered this and it has been awesome! It protects up to half an acre of land, too. I don’t know how we’ve gone this long without one of these!

Pet hair dryer sheets. My mom got me hooked on these dryer sheets made by Bounce. They’re oversized dryer sheets that protect your clothes against pet hair and having to lint roll. They really work and the scent is fantastic!

Reading. Always! I picked up a new copy of Jesus Calling that has the scripture references written out with each day’s devotion. As for fiction, I’ve been reading a bit of this rom com novel every night and Sadie has been enjoying Sonic the Hedgehog comic books from the library!

Eating from the freezer. My sister gave us a bunch of venison in the winter and we’ve been working our way through the stash ever since then! It definitely helps us save money on meat at the grocery store. Thanks, Hannah 😊

Sadie girl. She’s just the best. Always up for an adventure or relaxing at home. My little buddy!

Alright, I am going to get going with my Friday! It’s actually 1:00 PM as I finally publish this post, but better late then never, right?! I’m hoping for a very chill, boring day and early bedtime tonight πŸ˜‚Β πŸ˜΄

    1. So sad I didn’t get to try one of your cookies!! VBS was a lot of fun- but also very tiring.
I love the new dryer sheets too~ we both struggle with dogs that shed, and the reviews on Amazon plus a family member recommendation-
      So I figured why not?
