Our Weekend in Pictures

Hi and happy Monday! How was everyone’s weekend? Ours was busy, but in the best way! It involved lots of baking (for me), playing (for Sadie), and home improvements (for Jimmy)!

Friday night kicked off with a little visit to a local trail, creek, and ice cream shop with Jimmy, Sadie, and Niva.

Sadie tripped and fell in the creek and thought it was hilarious 🤷‍♀️

Saturday was a baking day for me! I made two loaves of challah, two babkas, cupcakes, a smash cake, and fulfilled a granola order. I don’t think I left our kitchen except to go to the post office to ship the granola and take Niva on a quick walk in the evening. Loved it!

Sadie spent most of the day with my parents (thank you mom and dad!) and Jimmy whipped up a railing for our front steps like it was no big deal.

Saturday also included copious amounts of coffee. Swoon.

Sunday was church in the morning. Sadie did not want to leave 😂

I spent the afternoon finishing up a bakery order, delivered it, and tried (key word: tried 😜) to tire Niva out with a long walk.

In the evening we headed back to church for the PM service and a fellowship. We also got to see our friend’s sweet son dig into his smash cake for his first birthday (I feel like I was just talking about snuggling him as a newborn 😭)!

What is it about a baby eating cake that is just the best? I love it 😍

Aaaand that was our weekend in a nutshell! Now I want to hear about yours 😊

  1. I was so happy to help you and Jimmy out on Saturday – Sadie is always so much fun (and super hilarious lately) to have for a visit!
I’m glad you got everything accomplished that you set out to do (except – I’m guessing, tire Niva out :))
It was so fun watching little Isaiah dig in to his cake. He was laughing so hard, and thoroughly enjoying it for sure!
    Love you, Madre

  2. Oh my goodness, I read that as “Sadie tripped and fell into the creek and I thought it was hilarious.” I was like DANG that is so savage!! But SHE thought it was hilarious. LOLOL. These baked treats have my mouth watering!

    1. Hahahaha, that would be totally savage… I did kind of laugh after I saw she was okay and laughing about it 😳😂

Thanks for the compliment on the treats I made!!! ❤

  3. Love this! Every picture of Sadie is just the sweetest, she is such a special little girl!! Our weekend consisted of attending VBS on Friday night, packing for Hillsboro like ALL day (somehow?) Saturday, having some friends over that evening, and then church Sunday morning followed by a road trip to Hillsboro Ohio!
