Thank you for all of the sweet comments on my last post. A few people said they liked watching Jimmy’s hair change over the years–haha! ME TOO. I like it short!
In August, Leigha tagged me in the “current” survey floating around the blog world. I finally got around to doing it!
Current Survey:
Current book – The Holy Bible, specifically the book of Jonah. Jimmy and I pick books of the Bible and read a chapter each day, and then discuss them via email or text messaging. My favorite verse in Jonah is the eighth verse in the second chapter.
Current music – I’m loving “Gold Guns Girls” by Metric. I actually heard the song because it was in an amazing documentary I watched in class a few weeks ago.
Current guilty pleasure – Blogging and taking Lola on long walks. What are these guilty pleasures? Because I don’t have much time to do either lately! Both are super relaxing to me, so I make time.
Current nail color – None! I just paint a clear coat on my nails every Sunday morning before I go to church. I’ve found that if I paint my nails, the polish usually chips off within a day or two because I swim a lot. With that said, I do enjoy getting a manicure or pedicure every now and then. That happens about once or twice a year, though!
Current drink – Coffee and ginger ale. I am loving ginger ale lately.
Current food – Homemade red velvet cupcakes with buttercream frosting and red sanding sugar. I made a small batch (in the microwave!!) to celebrate five years with Jimmy. The recipe can be found here–it’s super quick and easy.
Current television show – Please don’t cringe when you read this, but I don’t really watch TV. Like ever. Yikes.
Current wish list – I with I could be done with this semester, and I wish my mom would feel better–she has a migraine right now. Poor thing. Materially, I don’t really need/want anything… maybe a new pair of mittens for running in the cold!
Current needs – Nothing. I have everything I could ever want or need. I know and love God, my family and friends are happy and healthy, I’m receiving an education, I have a vehicle, a job, a roof over my head, food to eat, and clean water to drink. I couldn’t ask for more!
Current indulgence – Taking “selfies” and using the flash on my camera. I know using the flash on a camera is practically a photography sin. Oh well!
Current blessing – My sister. We hang out every night while she does homework, and just end up laughing hysterically at random things. The next day, we text each other about whatever we talked about. I got some strange looks at the gym recently because I was cracking up at a text Hannah sent that said “Dem Chex Mix paws though.” (<— I told her I think Lola’s paws smell like Chex Mix. I don’t know why I smelled Lola’s paws?!)
Current excitement – I wrote two more articles for the Nittany Pride!

Aww, thanks! Sometimes I waver on what I think I need… but when I really think about it, I know I have everything!
Elmo’s feet always smell like doritos or popcorn hahah! My mom and I say it all the time 😀 And I always think the photos with the flash show my outfit better. Plus, they hide my awkward selfie face.
I’m so glad someone else smells their dogs paws and thinks they smell like food!!!
I don’t watch TV either!! Well I do sometimes in the morning and evening, but that’s to watch the news. And then occasionally if I am on my treadmill I’ll watch TV. Other than that I am mostly doing other stuff! I also never wear nail polish because I am lazy, but also my job doesn’t allow it.
I’m the same way! If it’s there I’ll watch it, especially the news, but otherwise I’m not really interested.
Haha, that’s too funny about the Chex Mix! My sisters and I would always say our cousin’s dog smells like cheese curls! Glad we aren’t the only ones who smell our dogs 🙂 That’s so awesome you and Hannah have such a great relationship. I don’t think there’s anything more special than the relationship between sisters!

I don’t watch TV either. It’s not that I’m down on it, but I haven’t figured out how to fit it into my life! I think I’d have to stop blogging, and I’m not ready to do that.
Current obsession: writing and reading. (Of course, that’s my past and future obsession too!)

I like your wish list and your current need. It kinda shows your personality though because you’re pretty thankful and content (i try to be, too). I haven’t watched a whole lot of TV lately either, I let it play for noise when I work but that’s about it.

Aww, thank you! I definitely try to be content, but it’s not easy. I always struggle with it in school. I’m always like “I’ll be happy when this semester is over,” or “I’ll be happy when this project is finished,” when I just need to enjoy right now!!

Currently in my life … sore in a good way from ballet yesterday! Tired from 2.30am starts. And listening to I Will Wait by Mumford & Sons. My nail polish starts chipping within a day or two so I usually do my nails on days when I leave the farm.

And I know I say this like every time you bring up your sister, but I love that you guys are so close. I’m close to all three of my sisters now, but I wasn’t when we were younger.
