Life Changed, Peach, and Other Happy Things

It’s official, my life has been changed by a stand mixer. Why didn’t I get one sooner?! What was I doing with my life?

So thankful my sister-in-law was willing to let me adopt it. I’ve already used it more in a few days than she had in a few years, so we are both happy it’s getting some use!

I’ve made a few loaves of bread and brownies with it and it’s so nice to be able to walk away from it and not have messy hands from kneading bread.

Say hi to Peach!

She spent the day with us on Wednesday and was had a great time! Niva and Sadie were obsessed with her… maybe to the point of smothering? 😂

It has been a while since we had a young puppy in our home. I forgot how much you have to keep an eye on them! Puppies are just so sweet, though.

Another happy thing of note is that Starbucks holiday cups are back! I know, it’s just a small thing, but it makes me happy to see the return of the festive cups for the holiday season 🎄

Want to hear something exciting? I’m going to sell my baked goods at a holiday market next month! I might apply to sell at another holiday market on Small Business Saturday but I’m not 100% sure yet. Decisions, decisions 🤔

Along the lines of baked goods, I added something new to the shop 🍫😋

Our little family did one of our favorite things over the weekend: we went on a Lowe’s date! Sadie has a mild obsession with blow ups that people put in their yards so we were excited to show her a whole bunch of them on display at our favorite hardware store. We brought Niva along, too 😊

Last but not least for happy things lately, I took Sadie to our local outlet shopping center one morning. We spent an hour or two walking around the outdoor mall and enjoyed the sunny weather.

The highlight of the experience for Sader Tot was definitely the vending machine we stopped at before leaving (popcorn!) or the ride-on machines (not sure what those are actually called?!) throughout the area. She was super interested in them, but when I offered to put quarters in for her to ride one, she said “No, it’s too scary.” She saved me some money 😜

Tell me something happy/fun from your life lately!

Have you ever found something simple to be life changing?

  1. I don’t know how you have made it so long without a stand mixer! The average home cook, sure, they could probably survive without it. But someone who BAKES as a business?! Seriously, amazing. I’m so glad you are loving it so much! I use mine all the time!
