Okay, so I’m typing up this post a month after Sadie’s party but better late that never, right?! At least I didn’t wait six months like I did after her first birthday party 😂
Sadie’s third birthday party was much like her second, it was a small but joyful gathering with our immediate families and a night we will cherish for years to come!
Moments I want to remember:
- Sadie’s excitement leading up to her party. She really understood what was going on this year and was beyond thrilled to have a party! With all of her favorite people! And balloons! And decorations! And cupcakes! 🧁
- My brother-in-law giving Sadie her gifts wrapped in unicorn wrapping paper and everyone laughing while imagining him, a bearded, single guy over six feet tall, wandering into a store to buy unicorn wrapping paper 🦄
- Sadie and my niece Caroline playing with this toy and not knowing what to think of it 😂
- Having our families spend an evening celebrating our favorite little gal ❤️
When I asked Sadie if she wanted a theme for her party a few months beforehand, she was insistent on having a “Minnie Mouse party,” so that’s what we went with!
Honestly, I didn’t do anything too crazy. We put up these decorations, blew up some balloons (and spent the whole time keeping Niva from popping them 😂), and I made strawberry cupcakes topped with vanilla buttercream and Minnie’s face. But to Sadie? That was all magical and so special. I love that about her. She is one exuberant and joyful child. She notices the little things and raves over them, so having special decorations and cupcakes meant the world to her ❤️
We were blessed with great weather and made the most of it by eating (tacos!) and opening gifts outside and having a bonfire as the night ended. It was honestly perfect and such a blessed celebration of three years with Sader Tot.
Okay, enough talking. Here are some pictures 😊
Since Sadie *loves* looking back on past special events, we decided to film a vlog of her birthday party so she could relive the day whenever she wants!
A look back:
