Currently: March 2020

Happy March! I’ve been waiting to say this for a few months: spring officially begins this month! I’ve started to see the stems of daffodils peeking out of our neighbor’s grass and have been hearing birds chirping in the morning. Love it.

Here’s what’s currently going on in my life this month. Also, this post has a few affiliate links!

Current bookΒ The book of Job, Brain on Fire, and this isn’t quite a book, but I bought a guided prayer journal and really find it beneficial in organizing my thoughts and prayer life.

Current excitementΒ I’m going to start some seeds for our garden this month! We usually buy seedlings in May and transplant them straight into our garden, but there’s a few less common vegetables that I want to plant this year that we don’t usually see seedlings for in May.

Current food Cinnamon rolls made from pancake mix. Working on perfecting the recipe, though Jimmy will tell you they’re perfect as-is, haha. I just want them to look prettier πŸ™‚

Current prayer For everyone impacted by the tornado in Nashville, TN.

Currently looking forward to Sadie feeling better! She has a double ear infection that didn’t respond at all to 10 days of antibiotics, so we’re on another 10 days of stronger antibiotics. If those don’t work, we have to move on to a series of shots. I just feel so helpless seeing her cry and pull on her ears. She’s so off balance and keeps falling, which makes her cry more. Poor baby girl.

Current projectΒ I spruced up Sadie’s changing area with her own little garden πŸ™‚

Succulent nursery

Current beauty product I’m at it again with considering dental products as beauty products, but I am loving AP 24 Whitening Toothpaste. I actually used this growing up (my parents have been Nuskin consultants for probably 20+ years!) and was surprised to randomly hear it has a cult-like following in the beauty world lately, so I ordered a tube and was instantly brought back to my childhood, haha.

Current fun Family coffee dates and silly pictures!

Family in Starbucks with baby

Current drink Pretty much any coffee from Starbucks, but especially the Veranda blend.

Current baked good Mini cherry pies. Jimmy had a craving for cherry pie, but our pie pan was being occupied by the above cinnamon rolls, so I improvised and made individual little pies.

Current blessingΒ the Bible study I’ve been doing with a few other women at my church on Wednesday nights. My sister has been leading it has been very enriching.

Current cuteness Sadie has been drawing little scribbles on paper, so I hung her first piece of art on our fridge πŸ™‚

  1. I always love your life update posts!! πŸ™‚
I thought it was too funny (or maybe torture?) that you posted pics of cinnamon rolls, because I was just telling Nate that I’m randomly craving them. HA!! I wish you lived next door, so that I could try one. πŸ˜‰
Those decals by Sadie’s changing table are so cute!!
Hmmmm, so life lately over here… Well, as you know, I’ve been a bit over-busy these days. BUT randomly, all of our plans for the weekend got canceled (due to others having schedule conflicts). AND the bus company doesn’t need Nate to drive on Saturday as expected. So suddenly, I’m realizing that the weekend is supposed to be absolutely beautiful weather-wise AND we have no plans!!! I am giddy, because I’ve decided to treat it a bit like a staycation. πŸ˜‰ I plan to ignore projects and cleaning for a few days and to just focus on being a mom and enjoying my kiddos. Can’t wait!! πŸ™‚

    1. Aww, thank you Nicole! Sorry to torture you with the cinnamon rolls! I seriously wish we lived by each other (for so many reasons!) so I could share some with you and our kids could play together!

Yay for relaxed weekend plans! I hope you guys have the best time enjoying each other and just living life!

  2. Those cinnamon rolls and cherry pies look amazinggg!! I know you’re excited about sharing the fun of gardening with Sadie this year ~ now that she’s old enough to β€˜sort of’ participate. I’ve been praying for Sadie to get rid of those horrible earaches ~ it must be so painful for her. I LOVE the paintings you did around her changing table, and her first refrigerator worthy scribble is absolutely adorable!
    Loveeee you,
    Madre

    1. Thanks mom! Yes, so pumped to garden more with Sadie this year! I have a feeling she is going to love it!

Thank you for praying for Sadie’s ears! We need all the prayers we can get for our baby girl to heal!

      I love you! ❀

  3. Cinnamon rolls are SO good! I don’t understand people who don’t putting cream cheese frosting on them though. It’s weird to me ha.

Poor Sadie! I hope this round of antibiotics help her feel better.

Current cuteness is Bailey. Sometimes I end up sleeping on the couch if I wake up and can’t fall back asleep so Miss Bailey will come out with me. In the morning, I’ll wake up and tuck her in with her blanket and it makes me so happy. Plus I think she enjoys it since she looks so cozy haha.

    1. I agree–it’s totally weird when people don’t frost cinnamon rolls. Like how is that a thing?!

Thanks for the well wishes with Sadie’s antibiotics!

Ahhh, loved reading that about Bailey! She is SO cute πŸ™‚

  4. Sadie’s art! ❀ Love that you hung it up. πŸ™‚

Her little "garden" at her diaper changing station is adorable! I love that idea. I bet she loves seeing them!

I'm so sorry to hear about this on-going ear infection! Poor kiddo. I hope this second round of antibiotics helps!

    1. I’ve been looking forward to hanging up her artwork! Proud mama moment, haha!

She does love her little garden diaper area! She does try to peel the decals off, but I just take it as a sign that she really loves it haha!

Thanks for the well wishes with Sadie’s antibiotics! ❀

  5. Ooo, how exciting about the uncommon seedlings you found! Can’t wait to see what veggies you grow. πŸ™‚ Those cinnamon rolls sound amazing!! I bet they are so soft & melt-in-your-mouth being made out of pancake mix, right? What an awesome idea!

Poor baby Sadie & her ears. 😦 I hope she’s all better now! & I totally think dental products are considered beauty– teeth are SO important & probably the first thing anyone notices on your face, way before your mascara or blush, that’s for sure! I’ll have to see if I can spot that toothpaste next time need some. πŸ™‚

HOW CUTE are those mini pies!! & oh my, Sadie is about to be a dang artist when she grows up, hehe. ❀ So sweet that you hung that up & OH! The cacti set up by her changing area, ADORABLE!
