A Less Scary Snowman + Saturday Happenings

The morning stated out with coffee and my Bible. The best combo out there. I’m still studying the birth of Jesus in Luke and really enjoying it.

To make up for Sadie’s snowman fear, we made a less scary snowman together.

That’s her “smile!” face, haha. So cute. Also, she chose her outfit again and this time it was pajamas + a rain jacket 🙂

Our Saturday included family snuggle time in our bed in the morning, then in Sadie’s bed after her nap. If you look close enough, you can spot Malcolm nestled up to Sadie.

Jimmy and I also enjoyed Starbucks coffee, he went to a Nerf battle at our church, and I got some reading in during Sadie’s nap.

I’m almost done with this book and it has been engrossing. Up next is this, which I’m excited to dive into! Me + a book = happiness 🙂

Our neighbors stopped by and gave Sadie an Elsa doll as a Christmas gift this afternoon and she hasn’t let it out of her sight since then. We have truly been blessed with the most wonderful neighbors.

Sadie’s new doll inspired her and Jimmy to watch Frozen II this evening while I got some real estate work done and folded laundry.

And that takes us to now. I need to coax Niva out of the snow (she’s literally sleeping outside… living the husky life) and into the house and then I’m going to try and squeeze in more reading before we hit the hay!

Tell me about your Saturday!

Calling Poison Control and Other Activities

There’s never a dull moment in the Zottola house.

I was in the kitchen yesterday and thought Sadie was playing in her room with Niva, but it turned out they were in mine and Jimmy’s room, eating the rest of Jimmy’s bottle of melatonin gummies.

To say I was nervous one or both of them could get really sick would be a huge understatement. I called Sadie’s pediatrician and they had me talk to Poison Control. I was assured Sadie would be fine, maybe just drowsy. Same with Niva.

And you know what, they were totally fine. Me, on the other hand? I feel like I should have a head full of gray hair, LOL. Those two certainly keep me on my toes! I’m thanking God everything was okay and we are now keeping the melatonin somewhere far, far away from those two 😉

Other activities as of late:

We filmed a vlog last week! It involves a Starbucks date, homeschool, cleaning up after Niva’s antics, and a major case of the giggles from Sadie at the end.

I had a wolf and a husky join me for lunch on Saturday. I think they were hungry because they wouldn’t stop staring at me and my sandwich 😉

Sadie calls them Niva and Baby Niva and won’t go to sleep without them. It’s the cutest ❤

Stuffed wolf and stuffed husky

We’ve had some warm days here and there, so walks have been happening. Sadie is super into picking out her outfits lately and this one was pretty cute. She insists on wearing her rain boots everywhere, all. the. time.

It’s so much fun to take walks with Christmas decor out because Sadie gets so, so excited. Everything is super cool to her and I love seeing the world through her point of view. We drove around and looked at Christmas lights the other night and she was oohing and ahhing left and right!

Toddler on a walk

We’ve done some baking lately! I whipped up a batch of cowboy cookies and we made Paw Patrol sugar cookies together. I picked up a Paw Patrol baking kit the night I went shopping alone and it was a huge hit!

Jimmy and I always laugh about Sadie’s love of Paw Patrol. She is terrified of the show, but she loves looking at pictures of the characters, lol.

Well, I better get this day started. I’m kind of hoping it’s nice and dull after yesterday!

What have you been to lately?

Have you ever had to call Poison Control?
