Sadie’s First Haircut, Projects, and Our Week

Sadie and I happened upon a stencil kit at the grocery store and we have had so much fun with it! It came with window markers, so all of our windows and storm doors have been graced with spring designs lately!

Speaking of Sader Tot, she got her first haircut this week! She hadn’t wanted get it cut (ever) because she told us she wanted to be Rapunzel. We finally convinced her it would just be a trim and she could continue to grow it as long as she wanted. (more…)

Resurrection Rolls and Cat Hugs

Have you ever heard of Resurrection rolls? I hadn’t until this year, but they’re such a fun way to teach kids about the reason we celebrate Easter. They’re meant to symbolize the burial and resurrection of Christ.

They’re made by dipping a marshmallow in melted butter. It’s then rolled in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar and wrapped up in a crescent roll. When it bakes, the marshmallow disappears (melts). The marshmallow represents Jesus’ body and the crescent dough represents the tomb he was buried in. (more…)
