Low-key

Hello and happy Thanksgiving!

The pumpkin pie I baked today. Looks okay-ish... but I'm sure it will taste good!

I’m pretty sure I have a low-key holiday in store, with only my immediate family and sister-in-law celebrating together. I’m so happy that I’m staying home with my family because the last time we were all at home together for Thanksgiving was in 2010.

Penn State has been on Thanksgiving break since Monday, and it’s been pretty amazing. It’s taken me longer than I expected to complete my goals because I’ve been feeling so burnt out on school work! I really needed this break. (more…)

Party Snacks

My mom hosted a 31 party at our house on Saturday, and I thought it would be fun to share some pictures of the food we made for our guests!

I was in charge of the desserts (surprise.. ha) and Hannah and my mom made the appetizers.

Spending time baking and cooking with my mom and sister was a lot of fun. I love them so much. The party itself was a blast, too. Our house was filled with women smiling, talking, and laughing. I enjoyed hanging out with friends and just having a nice time.  It reminded me not to take life too seriously–something I tend to do 😉
