Current books I’ve been in the New Testament lately, specifically reading about Zacchaeus. With the kids, I’ve been reading Good Night Diggers and The Creation Story for Children.
Current food Spicy chicken thighs, barbecue chicken, and twice baked potatoes. Sadie has also been loving hard-boiled eggs lately!
Current cuteness Mordecai with his beloved garbage truck!
Current baked good Marbled chocolate pistachio bread and chocolate peanut butter granola.
Currently looking forward to The official start of spring. I’m loving the extra daylight since Daylight Saving Time started. Now I’m ready for the weather to be consistently warm. 😉
Current beauty product Dazzle Dry nail polish. I love that this nail polish system dries in five minutes!
Current excitement Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with the kids! I have an elaborate treasure hunt set up by a leprechaun (aka me 😂) all ready to go! We will also be making shamrock shakes and a few other treats!
Current blessing We had some big storms over the weekend. We lost power for a bit and our hot tub cover was blown open (no easy feat—that thing is heavy!), but we were safe and didn’t have any damage to our home.
Current joy Taking Dakota in the hot tub for the first time!! She was a little leery at first but was splashing around in no time. What a difference from this time last year when I was early postpartum and only able to dip my legs in the hot tub while I held a sleeping newborn!
Current scripture I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.” Psalm 16:2
Current kid product All three of our kids enjoy playing with this wooden Noah’s ark toy. Dakota has been pushing a walker, too!
Current indulgence Painting Russian nesting dolls with Sadie. I really love to paint, but I always feel like I have a million obligations tugging at me. This weekend, I ignored all the to-dos and painted with Sader Tot and loved every second of it!
Current mood Joyful!
Current fun I took the littles to the mall and Mordecai was fascinated by the bright Easter display!
Current need New socks. Mine are at the point where the elastic is worn out and they’re sagging, haha.
Current craving A backyard campfire! The kids wanted to make s’mores but it was too windy outside for a bonfire. We sat in front of our fire place with tea light candles and put Peeps on a chopstick to “roast” and combined it all with graham crackers and chocolate. Indoor s’mores… not quite the same as outdoor ones but still fun. 😉
Current drink Coffee and water. I’m a broken record: Starbucks Sunsera coffee beans on repeat.
Current laugh Mordecai was watching The Cat in The Hat movie at my mother-in-law’s house and said in his adorable toddler voice, lisp and all, “This is realistic!” 😂
Current confession I made a birthday cake… for our friend’s dog! She turned nine this week so we had a little birthday party with her, our friend, Niva, and our friend’s newest foster dog. Our neighbors probably thought we were nuts randomly singing happy birthday to our friend’s dog at 3:00 pm on a Friday. 😂
Current goal I want to make homemade mozzarella again! I’m thinking of buying this kit and making it with the kids as a (yummy) science experiment!
Current home product I love having this perpetual calendar sitting in my windowsill. ❤️
