March! I feel like March is the beginning of such a fun season: more daylight, spring begins, and hopefully warmer weather.
As always, here’s what’s current in my life this month. Please share what is going on for you this month in the comments!
Current books I’m finishing up a Bible study on contentment and Sadie and I recently read two chapter books while I fed Dakota: The Kitty-Catwalk and Princess in Black and the Kitty Catastrophe. Lots of cat books!
Current baked good Chocolate chip cookies! Our friend and neighbor, Bernadette, has kept us well-fed with treats, bread, and meals since we welcomed Dakota. It’s so nice to have sweets and carbs again since having gestational diabetes! It’s also nice to have amazing, giving, and caring neighbors 💜
Current indulgence Blogging! It feels so nice to stop into this little space. It’s definitely an indulgence for me because there’s always a million other things I could/should be doing 😉
Current drink Jimmy ordered me my all-time favorite coffee off of Etsy, so we’ve been drinking that each morning.
Current food We went out to one of our favorite restaurants, Firebirds, recently (with all three kids 🎉) and I ordered salmon. It hit the spot!
Current blessing All the love and support we’ve had since having baby Dakota. It’s just unreal to receive so much love! Prayers, food, encouragement, and more. We love it!
Current confession Jimmy jokingly said he wanted to go to the Talladega Nascar race next month… and I kinda want to go haha.
Current cuteness These kids! Still loving morning snuggles in bed.
Current kid product Mordecai just loves this rescue vehicle garage that opens with keys. He got it for his first birthday and has grown into it over the past year and plays with it daily! He’s also completely obsessed with his bubble leaf blower backpack now that the weather is (somewhat) warming up! Sadie is very into classic Play-Doh. She loves to make scenes and things like fish, coffee cups, bowls, etc.
Current need Nursing clothes! I don’t know what happened to all the nursing clothes I wore when Mordecai was a baby but I am rotating through a handful of shirts and flannels right now haha.
Current laugh When Mordecai saw Dakota for the second time, she was wearing a Hello Kitty bodysuit. I said “Mordecai, who is this?!” (referring to Dakota) and he said “Hello Kitty” 😂
Current fun We went out to eat for the first time as a family of five!
Current craving I want to have a bonfire in our back yard! Something about the chilly nights in spring makes me crave a campfire.
Current beauty product This Peach and Lily skincare set! I like that it has all the steps/products (cleanser, serum, moisturizer, etc.) and takes the guesswork out of having a skincare routine.
Current joy Family life. I am continually thanking God for our little family.
Currently looking forward to I think Jimmy and Sadie are going to run in a one mile Shamrock Shuffle around St. Patrick’s Day! If I’m feeling good, I might push Dakota in the stroller and follow them ☘️
Current excitement Spring is coming! More daylight!
Current home product Our coffee maker! So happy to have drip coffee back in our lives. This thing is techy! Jimmy had to teach me how to use it 😂
Current goal Making a Irish-themed meal for St. Patrick’s Day! We’ll see if I can pull it off while being a few weeks postpartum, LOL. Definitely want to do Irish soda bread, maybe corned beef or Irish stew, and shamrock shakes!
Current mood Joyful! As I type this post, it’s in the 60s outside. This weather is giving me life! I know the temps will drop again soon (Pittsburgh always has a “false spring” before it actually warms up) but I’ll take any warmth when I can get it!
Currently making Not much! I’d love to do a craft with the kids soon, though 🙂
Current question Do you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day?

Your new coffee maker is SWEET!! Leave it to Jimmy that finds one that he can start from his phone (so smart!).
I really don’t celebrate St. Patrick’s Day (but the Shamrock Shuffle was fun!)
Love you,
Madre
