How was your weekend? I totally forgot to take a photo of the cupcakes I made for my sister-in-law’s birthday, but they were thoroughly enjoyed at her party. Afterwards, Sadie slept over my parents’ house on Friday and Saturday night and what a treat that was. Thank you mom and dad!
Niva and I went on a few one-on-one walks, which are rare for us!
The couches got another deep cleaning with this after Niva found and tore apart a pee-filled diaper on them. Somehow I couldn’t get away from diapers, even while Sadie was away this weekend.
I also enjoyed some beautiful flowers my mother-in-law gave me as a belated birthday gift. I put them on our front porch bistro table (<–one of my favorite places to sit and relax!) and Jimmy and I ate dinner and admired them on Saturday evening! It felt downright luxurious.
It’s the little things 🙂
I was able to get some real estate work done, took myself on a date to Joann Fabrics with a gift card I was given for my birthday, mowed the yard, and Jimmy filed our taxes. It was the perfect mix of relaxation and productivity.
I also picked the first cherry tomato of the season from our garden, too!
We went to church this morning and were reunited with Sadie girl! The sermon was great and I took lots of notes.
One thing from the sermon that really stuck out to me is how we should assume the best in others because that’s what God does for us. Powerful words.
We’ve spent the afternoon at home, and then we’re headed into church this evening. You’ll never guess what I totally ruined by accident today. I’ll have to take some pictures to share tomorrow because man is it a disaster!
Allie, so funny, I wrote down the same note about seeing the best in others!! Totally a powerful sermon this morning! My weekend consisted of a girl’s night with Caroline, hiking yesterday and today, and the same kind of relaxation/productivity!! Can’t wait to spend next weekend with you, Lord willing!! Love you!
Wasn’t that just so powerful?! Just what I needed to hear! I love that you have girls’ nights with Liney!! I want to hike with you some time soon, okay?! Can’t wait to hang out over the weekend! LOVE YOU! ❤
Pretty flowers 💐!
I’m in suspense for tomorrow!
Dad
🙂
Thanks!! I just posted about it 🙂
“We should assume the best in others because that’s what God does for us. Powerful words.” I LOVE that!!! Soooooo good!!
AMEN! It was so powerful!
God does see all the best in us, doesn’t He? It’s amazing! And we in turn get to look for all the good in others. I love that!
It’s one of His best qualities! He is SO good to us!
What did you get at JoAnn’s? Another clothing sewing project for Sadie?
I feel like if your couch could talk it would alternate between saying, “I’ve never been dirtier!” and “I’ve never been cleaner!”
I ended up buying a notebook and stickers, but I have been working on a little sewing project for Sadie lately!!
What you said about the couch had me laughing so hard. You’re 100% right!
