Friday Night Trail Walk

Jimmy and I took Lola for a walk on a local trail on Friday night. The day had been pretty rainy, so the trail was almost empty and we felt like we had it all to ourselves.

I brought my camera along because practicing my photography on a local trail was on my spring fun to-do list!

I totally understand why we had the whole trail to ourselves, though. When we got to the furthest point we wanted to go, it started to sprinkle. Then it began to rain. Then it started pouring.

So Jimmy, Lola, and I were clomping through this muddy trail in the pouring rain on a Friday night. Poor Lola was trying to sniff everything as we went, I was trying to protect my camera, and Jimmy was trying to hustle us girls along. It was probably a pretty funny sight πŸ™‚

By the time we got to my truck, we were soaked! A little rain never hurt anyone and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. It made for a really fun night!

      1. Thank you – yes, everything’s going well. πŸ™‚ It’s her first birthday on June 3rd, and I want to bake some home-made treats for her. If I remember correctly, I think you blogged about making treats for Lola once?

  1. I watched a race today and it went from sprinkles to sun to pouring and back about 6 times in the span of an hour. Mother nature you so crazy!

  2. Hahaha! That pic at the end is awesome! So glad you guys had fun despite the rain! And look at you with practicing your photography! Atta girl!

  3. Aw getting caught in the rain isn’t the funnest thing but that last picture of you two is awesome lol And you captured even more great ones before the rain!! πŸ™‚

    1. It’s so nice to get out in nature on trails. I just love it πŸ™‚ I hope you can get back out on Ohio trails again someday!

Hope your week is going well, too! ❀

  4. Rainy evenings are the best. Of course, I’d rather be cozied up in a blanket versus being cold and soaking wet outside! Haha, but this sounds so sweet and fun!
