Things I want to remember

Giving a devotional on the book of Esther at my church. I loved it! I’m so glad my mom could come, too. She had to do some unexpected traveling that day for a family emergency, but made sure she saw me speak first. Thanks, mom! If anyone wants me to post about the actual devotional, I would love to.

How hard working and talented my husband is. Kitchen renovations have been happening in the Zottola household!

How wonderfully challenging it is to write and edit a book.

How much I adore animals. Everything about them makes me so happy. I would love to have another dog. And a cat or two. I just need to convince Jimmy ;).

Pet sitting

How lovely freshly baked bread and cookies smell and taste.

That I can’t trust Lola as much as I’d like to. The little miss has been quite the escape artist lately! I was mowing the lawn on Saturday and she snuck out our back door (while Jimmy was working on our kitchen renovations) and blew past me. I ran after her and thankfully caught her. Jimmy carried her home and she looked so guilty. It was actually really cute, haha. It’s comforting to know she still has lots of spunk, even though she’s almost 10-years-old.

And just for fun, one thing I’d like to forget is the feeling of accidentally dropping our oven on my foot while Jimmy and I were moving it. I thought about posting a picture buuuuut I don’t think anyone really wants to see it ;).

What is one thing you want to remember?

What is one thing you want to forget?

  1. Ouch!! I hope your foot is okay.

Oh Lola! I’m so glad you caught her. She’s 10 years young and feisty. She needs a sibling, obviously. 🙂

That’s so great that you guys are renovating your kitchen! I hope you’re taking before and after photos as the work is being done.

I want some of those cookies and that bread like right now. It’s not too early for cookies, right?

    1. Thanks! My foot is feeling good! The bruising went away and it’s good as new now 🙂

I totally agree that Lola needs a sibling! I’ve definitely been maki g sure to take lots of before and after kitchen photos!

It’s never too early for cookies 😉

  2. I hope your foot isn’t painful!

Haha, spunky Lola! It makes me smile when older dogs behave like puppies, even if they can be a bit naughty.

I bet your kitchen will look great when it’s finished. You should definitely post before/after pics. 🙂
It’s satisfying to do home improvement chores, isn’t it? I spent a few hours last weekend pressure washing the patio and steps in our garden. The stone is a completely different colour now that all the greenish gray algae has been cleaned off.

I’m interested to hear about your Esther devotional. I’m glad it went well, and that your mom was able to be there. 🙂 And I hope the family emergency isn’t anything worrying.

    1. It was pretty painful at first, but it’s completely fine now! Whew! I was scared I broke something, but thankfully it healed on its own.

I was amused with Lola, too! She’s too funny sometimes! She has such a fun personality.

I will definitely have to post before and after kitchen pictures! It really is so satisfying to do home improvement chores. I bet you really love being out in your garden now!

I can’t wait to post about the Esther devotional. Hopefully I can figure out how to word it the right way to go from an in-person devotional to a blog post 🙂

  3. Ouch! That sounds terrible! I hope your foot heals quickly!

I can’t wait to see pictures of your kitchen as you work on it and finish it! Hooray for changes! And a huge hooray for working on your book. Something else I’m excited to see more of! 🙂

And girl, you know I’d love to read the devo you shared! So good that your mom could be there. Though I hope everything is okay. I know how difficult family emergencies can be. *hugs*

    1. Thanks, Rach! My foot is feeling much better now!

I can’t wait to post pictures of the kitchen, too! We still haven’t finished our closet room (I’ve been wanting to post pictures of it since like October, haha!! I just needs some finishing touches!), but we are getting there! I guess we like to do a few projects at once, haha.

Can’t wait to share the devo, too! And thank you for the hugs. The family emergency has been tough. I’ll be emailing you about it soon, I’m sure!

  4. Oh my gosh, I reread the part about your oven twice! I can’t believe that happened! Lola looks kind of mischievous in that photo 😉 Glad writing is going well!

  5. I want to remember the feeling of complete bliss on a sunny day off during the middle of the week. I love the feeling that I’ve got all the time in the world with nothing to do but enjoy myself.
One thing I want to forget is cutting my top lip the other day because it makes eating salt and vinegar chips uncomfortable =P
