Hello from the Outer Banks of North Carolina!
I’m on vacation with my parents and sister. I just wanted to pop in and share some pictures!
Before I even left for vacation, Jimmy drove out to my house and gave me a care package for the trip (sorta like I did for him when he was working a few hours away for a week). He included all of my favorite things: sun block, peanut butter, snacks, gum, stickers, and Sharpie markers. He’s the sweetest. I’m glad he doesn’t judge me for loving stickers at age 20.
Hannah and I watched Eclipse during the nine hour drive from Pennsylvania to North Carolina.
I’ve been enjoying plenty of raw oysters.
My mom loves sipping coffee on the deck of the beach house we’re staying at.
I love the deck because I can hear the ocean while I read my Bible.
Hannah looks older than me. Nothing new about that.
I played skee ball in the local arcade and turned in my tickets for stickers. Best. Prize. Ever.
We’ve been saving money by packing lunches each day. Tuna and turkey sandwiches for the win! Yes, my nickname is Stitch.
My dad is in fishing heaven. I spent about 30 minutes with him in the fishing aisle in Kmart. He was so “in the zone” that he didn’t know I took this picture.
Cookies have been baked. Coffee has been thoroughly enjoyed.
The scenery is absolutely breathtaking. I just gape at everything.
The fish are biting.
Lastly, what kind of journalism student would I be if I didn’t read the local newspaper?

Well, that’s all the pictures I have for now. I can’t wait to take more because I’m going to be going on some fun adventures this week.

I’ve always wanted to go to NC for vacation. But I’d have to say my favorite place is NYC. So much to see and do and I love the atmosphere.
I’ve only been to NYC once, but it was pretty cool! It seems like something is always going on there!

We really love our cruise vacations but I think our next one will be a land vacation… we want to do a trip to Washington, DC, but I also want to go to Disney. Actually I want to visit a lot of places and love travelling so yeah. And when I do go places, I also read the local newspapers.
I like your Dunkin Destination mug! I wonder if they have those down here since Charleston is kind of a tourist-y place… I would want one even though I live here.

You’ve got to visit DC! It’s so cool there! So is Disney. Jimmy wants to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter for our honeymoon one day HAHA. I don’t know how I feel about that!

I’ve gone to the Outer Banks for vacation the last two summers, and I’m headed up there again in a couple of weeks. I LOVE the houses there. They’re so ridiculously big and awesome, and I wish I could live in one all the time! Hope the rest of your trip is as much fun as it has been so far!

Stitch? Like Lilo and Stitch? Because I love that movie! And I may or may not have a stuffed Stitch that Christopher bought me on our honeymoon and it still sits on a shelf in our room. 😀 Aaand if it has nothing to do with that movie then you just learned lots of bonus info about me, haha!

Yep, like Lilo and Stitch! I love the movie, too! I got the nickname because I talk in a voice like Stitch sometimes LOL.

NO WAY! i alwaaaaaaaaaaays ask for stickers as gifts, and my boyfriend is totally all over that! how funny! I knew we had a great connection…….stickers! LOL I have a huge collection, but I also send out a TON of snail mail, so I go through them pretty quickly!
