This past weekend was spectacular.
On Black Friday, I went to the gym bright and early to lift weights and saw my mom and aunt in the same shopping plaza–while they were doing their Christmas shopping. They gave me a ride to my car… except I couldn’t sit in the seat because the vehicle was filled with stuff. First world problems.
I spent most of Friday working on a huge research paper on TLC (the TV channel). I have actually been enjoying writing the research paper. What a nerd.
Friday night, my family took our family from New York to a classic Pittsburgh restaurant, Primanti Bros., to celebrate my little cousin’s 11th birthday. I tried lamb for the first time and I really liked it!
Saturday was also spent with family. My mom, sister, aunt, cousin, and I all went to a craft fair at the local YMCA. Yay for Small Business Saturday! I purchased a candle and two hand-painted cards.
I started off Sunday with church.
I saw Jimmy for the first time in a week. He went to New York to visit his family for Thanksgiving. It was really nice to hang out with him all day in between church services.
We painted Christmas ornaments together for some very special people!
More on the ornaments in another post!
How was your weekend?
Bible verse of the day: Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe. Hebrews 12:28
First of all, that dessert your cousin is eating needs to get in mah belly. Like, now. I didn’t partake in much black Friday shopping either, I just picked up a few interview-worthy clothes at J.Crew. It was pretty uneventful, and I certainly didn’t go crazy filling up a whole backseat! That’s impressive 🙂 And I like writing research papers too if it’s a topic I’m interested in. My latest ones are on The OC (TV show) and Brooks running as an environmentally sustainable company.
Your research topics sound super interesting! I would totally be excited about reading them if I was your teacher 🙂
Yay! I’m proud of you for supporting small business saturday! 🙂
It was an easy task 😉
You can have the lamb, but as a vegetarian, I will take that dessert your cousin is eating, hehe.
Glad you had a good weekend and supported Small Business Saturday. I actually didn’t shop any Saturday or at a small business, and all my shopping lately has been at Earth Fare or online, but we have supported some small restaurants lately, at least. I guess that counts :).
The pic of you in the back of the car is pretty awesome!
Supporting small restaurants is always good… you get to enjoy the delicious food!
Ooooh that lamb sounds AMAZING right now! I’ve only had it once but man do I remember how tasty it was 🙂
And I love your church dress! You’re so gorgeous Allie!
I was super excited to try it and I’m glad I liked it! I REALLY want to try bison, elk, etc. too! And thank you 🙂 you made my day!
So sorry you had to sit like that in the back seat; atleast it was only for a few feet in the parking lot (just in case any cops read your blog
Love the pics of your bright and beautiful handmade Christmas ornaments you started for the Shiloh Christian Family you so diligently and lovingly support. Thank you for being such a kind & considerate daughter… You’re beautiful inside and out ❤
LOL at cops reading my blog…. except I do know one future cop… as you know!
Thank you for helping me with the ornaments too!
I actually went to the gym on Black Friday too. It’s never crowded ever. LOL. I’m really interested to hear about your research paper!
Empty gyms are the best!
that dress is beautiful on you! I went for a run on friday and no one was out in the streets, it was hilarious.
Aww, thank you 🙂
I’m glad you were able to have the streets to yourself! WOO!!
Aw I’m glad you had such a good weekend!!! 🙂
Thank you! Me too!!
You haven’t had lamb before?!?! How have you managed to do that? Lamb is a staple here. Whenever I buy meat, I get some cut of lamb. Lamb chops are so good, as is roast lamb. Sheep farming is my background – I still prefer lamb, hogget, and mutton to beef.
Btw, you are totally gorgeous!
Nope, never had lamb before! Grocery stores around here don’t really sell it unless it’s a specialty grocery store. I wish they did sell lamb though, because it was DELISH!
Also, thank you 🙂 I’m blushing!
Yay for small business Saturday! 🙂
Amen to that! I love it 🙂
Isn’t lamb amazing? I love lamb meatballs. Or gyros. Or anything, really. 🙂
Yes, it’s delish! I can’t wait to have it again 🙂
PRIMANTIS
NOM NOM NOM!!!!!
I couldn’t have said it better!
“First world problems” hahaha. So true.
Love that dress, so pretty!
I’ve been enjoying writing papers this year too. I guess that’s when you know you’ve chosen the right major? Or we’re both nerds? lol
I was thinking about that too! I was like “I kinda love writing this paper!” Then I thought “Well, I know I chose the right major!” 🙂
LOVE your dress! And heck yes for Primantis!!! 🙂
Thanks! I got it at Plato’s Closet for $14 😀
I adore that dress!! You look so pretty! (As always(: ) I’m glad you had a great weekend!
ps. Silly girl getting a ride to your car after a workout, :-p
Ya know, I have never tried lamb… This was such a fun post! 🙂
It’s worth a try! I bet you and Nate would like it 🙂
