Fall Festival

Not Unpacking, Not Choosing, Collecting, and A Fall Festival

We made it home from the beach safely! It was a long drive, but the kids did so well. They’re good travelers from all of our time spent on the highway to and from our church, lol.

As soon as we got home I Door Dashed lunch and made an apple pie. I should have unpacked, but the apples in the crisper drawer were calling my name. Apple pie is Jimmy’s favorite dessert, so I wanted him to have something sweet to enjoy now that the kids and I were back home.

Did I spend the next 30 hours feeling overwhelmed looking at my suitcase in the middle of the floor? Yes. But that was okay. Jimmy had apple pie! (more…)

Farm Family Day, Trampolines, and Apple Pie

We enjoyed our second and final day of Jimmy’s staycation! I’ll tell ya what, I think I like staycations just as much as “real” vacations where you travel somewhere.

Friday found us once again busy with a mixture of work and play. First up, we headed to Trax Farms to look at the pumpkins and pick up locally grown apples for pie. Jimmy and I also grabbed coffee because coffee is always a good idea 😉
