Pizza, cookies, running, and Jim

Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. James 1:21

Thank you to everyone who commented on my last post concerning the stress about being able to go to college on a scholarship with an injury. I was actually able to run outside [5.7 miles!] on Friday (with my brace on) I brought my phone with me and read comments as they were coming to my email-yeah I had tears in my eyes because I love everyone & all the rockin comments I got 🙂

Can I teach you how to make delish iced coffee? I can? Okay, good.

Easy iced coffee

* 1 cup of coffee brewed and refrigerated in a to-go mug

*1 chilled glass filled with ice

* 1/2 cup milk (I use soy!)

*1 & 1/2 Tbs vanilla coffee syrup

Directions: Chill the coffee in the refrigerator for 3 hours. After 3 hours, fill your chilled glass with ice. Pour the vanilla syrup into the glass, followed by the milk, and then the coffee. Stir with a straw and enjoy!

Stir her up and enjoy!!

I have been obsessed with pizza and cookies lately. I feel like i’m in Jr. High all over again!!

Yes, I am (kind of) a food blogger. Yes, I eat cookies. Yes, I eat cheese. God forbid, right?! LOL.

Watermelon makes me indescribably happy… can you tell?

I have been doing a lot of this lately

(cleaning)

I’ve also been cooking pureed soup for Jimmy (the boy <3) because he got his wisdom teeth out. I won’t post a picture of him after the surgery buuut I’ll show you some really cool photos of him instead!

Can you guess what Jim’s profession is?!

My life in 30 days, day 26

My life in 30 days, day 26 = A picture of something that means a lot to you

Let’s see if you can guess from these pictures 😉

Hmm, have you guessed it yet?!

Something that means a lot to me is cooking and baking.

I just really love to cook a meal for others and myself, I enjoy sitting down and eating that meal and knowing that I made it with love and care for everyone eating it. I love to talk about the flavors, ingredients, tastes, and textures of the food I cook. The act of cooking itself makes me happy; it is therapeutic to chop vegetables and brown meat. Nothing is as good as stirring a pot of warm soup.

Baking makes me immensely happy as well. I enjoy the excitement of find a new recipe, softening a stick of butter, cracking eggs, stirring, mixing, pouring. Then I can’t stop looking in the oven to see what the cookies, pie, muffins, or cake looks like.

I could go on and on. I might not be the best cook or baker but I can tell you that I try my best and make everything with love 🙂

What means a lot to you?
