Making (Cat) Friends, An Interview, and Day Date

The kids and I walked to our local park and saw not one but two cats on the playground. Oh my word was Sadie excited. She played with those cats for a good 30 minutes and Mordecai had a blast petting them as well.

The one cat looked pregnant to me and I mentioned it to Sadie. A few minutes later, Sadie asked to FaceTime Jimmy and she burst out saying “Dad! You won’t believe this! There’s two cats at the park and one is pregnant!” haha. She wanted to take that cat home so badly! I have a feeling we will be frequenting this particular park often now 😜

Resurrection Rolls and Cat Hugs

Have you ever heard of Resurrection rolls? I hadn’t until this year, but they’re such a fun way to teach kids about the reason we celebrate Easter. They’re meant to symbolize the burial and resurrection of Christ.

They’re made by dipping a marshmallow in melted butter. It’s then rolled in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar and wrapped up in a crescent roll. When it bakes, the marshmallow disappears (melts). The marshmallow represents Jesus’ body and the crescent dough represents the tomb he was buried in. (more…)
