Pups in the Park, Color Analysis, and Bubble Tea

There isn’t much sweeter than the kids playing together so happily in their jammies!

They played so well before bedtime. It was almost like they were stalling?! ๐Ÿ˜‚

We brought Niva and Dakota to the Pittsburgh Pirates Pups in the Park night this week! The Pirates (Pittsburgh’s professional baseball team) host a few games each season where dogs are allowed to attend. There’s a special rooftop section set up just for dogs and their owners.

We met up with our friends who have huskies (Runah and Tom Tom!) and we were the only ones there with huskies haha. 98% of the dogs were golden doodles and we saw a couple of golden retrievers.

We checked in at the game, found our husky pack, and watched a bit of baseball. Jimmy and I got a lot of comments and looks for being “brave” to take a dog and baby to a baseball game and we were like “This feels easy because our other two kiddos are home!” haha. We would have just taken Niva but Dakota is still attached to me for food so she got to experience her first Pirates game!

We had such a nice evening! The weather was fantastic, the Pirates actually won(!), and we loved hanging out with our friends.

Yes Niva sat in a seat next to Jimmy and yes it did fold in on her and she got squished ๐Ÿ˜†

Runah and Niva pretty much only see each other at our house, so when they saw each other at the game they were like “Hey! What are you doing here?!” and it was so cute.

They even had cups of whipped cream for the dogs and they all got Pirates bandanas. I would definitely go again!

Okay, have you heard of getting your color analysis done? It’s this method of analyzing a person’s skin tone, eye color, and hair color to determine what colors of clothes and makeup harmonize with their looks. I find things like that so interesting so I asked ChatGPT to do a color analysis for me and apparently I’m a “Light Spring” and these are my best colors.

Light Spring Colors

I got super invested in trying to guess Jimmy’s color analysis. I had a feeling he was an Autumn and I was right! ChatGPT told me he was a “Soft Autumn” haha. Okay… go on ChatGPT and tell me your color analysis!!

Sadie and I made bubble tea together! She has always wanted to try it. She loved the flavor of the tea but the texture of the tapioca pearls freaked her out ๐Ÿ˜‚

Hi from Mordecai and Niva! Poor Decky caught impetigo (under his nose) and really struggled through it until we got him on an antibiotic. Toddlers always seem to pick up the most random sicknesses?!

Sadie did some watercoloring with this mini set. It came with paint (on each page!) and a brush. All we needed was a cup of water. I kinda want to steal it from her ๐Ÿ˜‰

Dakota’s toy choice was totally one of those tell me you have a big brother without telling me you have a big brother moments.

Other notes and thoughts:

  • Sadie has been letting me do her hair lately! She likes me to pull half of it up and then put a bow clip in it. I definitely need to get some little bows for her. We only have a few from when she was a baby haha.
  • Both Sadie and Mordecai have been super into Hot Wheels. We have a few track pieces and they each have two cars and man do they love setting up elaborate tracks all through the house and yard! The most used statement in our house lately is “Where did my car go?!” ๐Ÿคฃ
  • I got a baking order for pizzelles and cannoli cups this week and I cannot wait to make them! I was asked to do the pizzelles and didn’t have an iron so it was my chance to invest in one, hehe. I got this one! Now I can make stroopwafels, too. I’ll let you know how it goes!
  • I made a big batch of breakfasts and lunches for Jimmy the other day. Lunches were calzones (pizza dough + sauce + mozzarella + pepperoni) and breakfasts were biscuits with maple sausage, munster cheese, and an over hard egg. Now he has a few weeks of meals for work in our freezer. Always feels good to tackle that task so I don’t have to think about it for a bit!

Okay, that’s it for this post! I’ll be posting all about a day with my sister and spending time with my brother-in-law’s goats next. For now, I am off to drink alllll the coffee. Dakota is teething (we think??) and kept Jimmy and I up literally all. night. long. ๐Ÿ˜ด My sister recommended this teething gel, so I’m definitely picking that up today and hoping for the best!

What’s your color analysis?

  1. the pups in the park looked like so much fun! Iโ€™m glad you got to enjoy it with good friends (and Nivaโ€™s bestie) too.
im so glad Sadie is letting you do her hair!!! Little girls go through so many stages of what they like and dislike.
playing with the hot wheels sounds like a lot of fun too – we will have to invest in some more cars for them though.
I am so happy you were able to get a pizzelle maker – hopefully I will be able to try one of yours soon.
    love you

    1. It was such a cool experience! We really enjoyed it!

It’s SO FUN doing Sadie’s hair like “the good old days” when she used to let me do it any way I wanted haha.

We will def play Hot Wheels with the kids! They get so creative.

I have some pizzelles for you and dad! Not as good as Grandma Smith’s, though!

      Love you so much!
