We hit two new records with our hot tub lately: most people we’ve ever had in it and coldest weather we’ve experienced while using it!
As I mentioned in my last post, we hung out with my sister’s family over the weekend. We obviously all had to get in the hot tub. All nine of us 😬
We also recreated a picture of Titus (my sister’s youngest son) and Mordecai that we took when Mordecai was just a couple days old.
For our second hot tub record, Sadie, Mordecai, Jimmy and I got in the hot tub on Monday night and it was 21 degrees outside!
It was a cold day in general! I took the kids and Niva out on a walk that afternoon and we didn’t last very long. Felt great to get outside nonetheless.
In other news, I’ve been doing little things to get my life together lately. I may be in the minority, but I love cleaning out the refrigerator. It doesn’t bother me one bit. I love how bright it looks afterwards, too! I did that this week and it makes me smile every time I open the fridge.
The kids and I took the car to the car wash. Sadie loved it. Mordecai cried. I used to be terrified of the car wash as a child, so I totally get it haha.
I also got an acrylic organizer for charging cords and our junk drawer now looks worlds better!
One big thing I did to get my life in order recently was to join the Home School Legal Defense Association. We don’t have any legal needs regarding homeschooling but our state (Pennsylvania) is notoriously difficult to homeschool in due to regulations.
The HSLDA membership will help me figure out the paperwork I need to file, documents to keep track of, and more during our homeschool journey.
Speaking of homeschooling, I better get going because Sadie and I need to start our lessons for the day 😊

As you know, it’s been extremely cold here in Pittsburgh. It doesn’t really both me a ton, but I am looking forward to spring!!
I also recently deep cleaned my fridge – and I am one of those that literally hates doing it… but it’s so satisfying when its done!
I do remember you being absolutely terrified of the carwash – I have heard that a lot of children do have that same reaction.
