Opening Up Shop

I alluded to a fun little announcement in one of my recent posts and I’m here to share all about it! The story starts way back in 2013, when I first opened an Etsy shop. I sold homemade granola under the shop name Hearty Handfuls. I honestly can’t remember why I closed up shop, but I’m guessing it had something to do with being a busy college student ๐Ÿ˜‰

After I stopped selling, I still made granola all the time and have always considered selling it it some way, shape, or form again. Can you guess where I’m going with this? I reopened my Etsy shop! Woo hoo!

Healthy chocolate espresso granola

I renamed it Braid Bakery because I love to braid bread and bake. While I currently have granola in the shop, I’m hoping to add more listings. Maybe I’ll even add my favorite braided bread: challah ๐Ÿ˜Š

I got things up and running again over the past few weeks (think: logo, packaging, reopening with Etsy, bank stuff, recipe development, etc.) listed a few flavors, and have even received orders. I may or may not have done a little happy dance every time I shipped one out ๐Ÿ’ƒ

I was reading the post I wrote in 2013, and I feel much the same way: I don’t have everything figured out (in any aspect of my life, really ๐Ÿ˜‚ ), but I’m just having so much fun with this.

At the moment, I have three flavors in the shop: peanut butter, coconut almond, and chocolate espresso. I definitely have plans to add more, but I’ll get there when I get there. In the meantime, I’m up to my ears in granola and it’s pretty much the best ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Have you ever let go of a hobby only to pick it back up later on in life?

What’s your favorite baked good?

  1. Oh my goodness!!! How amazing is this?!? I absolutely love everything about it… The name, the packaging, the baker… ๐Ÿ™‚ You are incredible!!
