It’s May! That means we’re planting our garden this month. We also have Jimmy’s birthday, my nieces Caroline and Remi are turning one, and my brother-in-law’s birthday is this month!

Sadie and I pulled up the landscaping fabric from last year and Jimmy tilled our garden plot earlier this week!
Here’s what’s currently going on in my life, with a few affiliate links included!
Current book Just finished up re-reading The Magnolia Story by Chip and Joanna Gaines and this is on deck next! Sadie has been into all things Biscuit.
Current joy Our sweet pup, Niva! I think I tell Jimmy how much I love her like 10 times a day.
Current beauty product The hair styling product I typically use to attempt to tame my hair was out of stock, so I tried out this texturizing hair cream and it just might be my go-to hair product from now on!
Currently looking forward to Planting our garden later this month!
Current baked good Mini cheesecake bites.
Current drink Tim Horton’s coffee.
Current prayer Healing for our world amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Not just physical healing, but also emotional, spiritual, and financial. I pray everyone reading this is safe, happy, and healthy ❤
Current fun Scrapbooking. My friend from church made me a scrapbook to fill out as a baby shower gift and I finally finished it this week. Sadie has loved looking at it and I try not to cry every time I see photos of her as a newborn!
Current blessing Jimmy is back to work!
Current baby product Three words: diaper. rash. spray. Why did I not discover this sooner?!
Current project Jimmy has been renovating our back porch! He took out the wooden railing and posts and replaced the posts with steel beams. Next up: new railing!
Current obsession Vlogging!
Current food I have curried chickpea soup simmering on the stove as I type up this post.
Current cuteness Sadie wearing a hat. She thinks hats are the coolest 😎
Love Sadie watching Jimmy putting in the garden!
Love
Dad
🙂
They’re the sweetest together! Love you, Dad! ❤
Omg those mini cheesecake bites look so yummy!
Thank you McKenz!!
Niva is such an amazingly sweet pup, and she fits perfectly into your family!
I’m so glad Sadie likes her little paw patrol hat!! It cracks me up she wears it backwards 🙃 The back porch is going to look so awesome, just like the mini cheesecakes 😍.
Love you beautiful mama
Thank you, mama! I agree 🙂 And Sadie LOVES her Paw Patrol hat so much! Can’t wait to show you the back porch once we have it all finished up 🙂 Love you!
Glad to hear that things are going well. It must be a relief that Jimmy is back to work.
The photos of Niva and Sadie are adorable. 🙂
In my life, I’ve been keeping busy with lots of work and online Pilates. I get so achy when I sit at my laptop all day — stretching and Pilates helps!
It is such a huge relief to have Jimmy back to work! We definitely appreciate each other’s roles more now as I was working a lot more and he was home with Sadie a lot more. We’re glad to be back in our “usual” roles now, lol!
Yay for work and pilates! Do you use a certain website or Youtube?! I want to try some of the videos you do!
Sure! I like the Balanced Body workouts: https://video.pilates.com/categories/free-workouts
A lot of them require equipment that I don’t have, but there are a few where you only need a mat and maybe a resistance band if you have one. I think these two are my favourites: https://video.pilates.com/programs/30minband_workoutmp4-ccff69

Let me know what you think, if you decide to try them! 🙂
I replied to this with some links but I think my comment might have gone into the spam folder as it didn’t show up. I think WordPress automatically filters comments with links, as it thinks they’re spam!
Always excited to see you guys start your garden. You are such a green thumb family.
Niva is beautiful!
Thank you, Amy! That’s a huge compliment!!
I’m so glad Jimmy is able to be back at work! What a blessing!
Diaper rash spray!! That would have been so helpful. I’ll have to remember that to pass on to other Mamas.
And hooray for scrapbooking! I definitely took the easy route and just made a photo book online, but we all love looking at it! So I totally understand trying not to tear up looking at pictures of your baby when she was an actual baby still. ❤
Yay Vlog! You making pancakes with Sadie and Niva made me laugh so much. Real life indeed. Fun memories, though! Oh, and you making up the bed with everyone's "help" is hilarious! Really all the clips of every day tasks are kind of sweet in their own way. Even folding laundry. Such a cool glimpse into this time in life. She looked like she had so much fun making the cherry blossom tree. So cute!
I totally wish I would have discovered the diaper rash spray before Sadie was born, lol!!
So smart of you to do a photo book online! Much less messy!
