Scenes From The Weekend

We had such a lovely weekend celebrating Resurrection Sunday and spending time with family! Friday night was spent baking and preparing for Saturday’s dinner. I made black bottom banana bars and Jimmy and Mavis snuggled.

On Saturday, we had my father-in-law, his fiancé, my sister, and brother-in-law over for dinner and it was wonderful hanging out with them, playing games, and enjoying good food. Sunday was spent at church, then relaxing in the afternoon before heading back to the evening service to hear more amazing preaching on the joy that is Jesus’ resurrection.

How about some pictures?!

  1. Happy Belated Easter beauty! it sounds like you had an amazing weekend! I LOVE how you did your hair! It is STUNNING! I LOVE Easter. Growing up there were SO many traditions, first and foremost spending the Triduum at church, and then of course Easter morning, my mom makes a huge Slovak breakfast. I spent it away from family this year, I still went to Church, and while it was freezing Saturday and we got snow on Monday, Easter Sunday was so beautiful and for a few hours it felt like it was Spring! I hope you are having a fabulous week! ❤

    1. Thank you so much! My sister actually braided my hair! I loved it, too, and SO wish I could do braids like that haha!

I loved hearing about your Easter!! It sounds like you have some amazing traditions and I’m so glad you had beautiful weather in the actual day! ❤

    1. Thank you, Maureen! My sis did the braid and I wish she lived with me so she could do it every day! I just do not have that skill set LOL.

It sounds like you had the perfect weekend with sweet Bailey! ❤

  2. Happy belated Easter, Allie! It looks like you had a great weekend with the family and that’s what matters. We didn’t do anything special. I ran that morning and Clay and I went to lunch. He did yard work that evening, just a typical Sunday for us. Years ago, I used to celebrate with my family with egg hunts and big dinners, and I really miss that.

  3. It looks like such a wonderful weekend celebrating Easter! So much delicious food and what sweet time with family! And of course the puppies as well. 🙂 Oh, and your hair is so cute! Did you do that yourself?

    1. It was so wonderful!! I had a total case of the Mondays the next day because the weekend was just so sweet!

Hannah did the braid in my hair and I think I need to convince her to live with me so she can braid my hair each day 😉
